"Open it!"
He slowly pulled the end of the ribbon para matanggal 'yung pagkakabuhol ng tali. I was slowly getting nervous, dahil baka hindi niya magustuhan. His reaction suddenly changed when he opened the box, he stopped when he saw what's inside.
"Y-you didn't liked it?"
He slowly looked at me. His eyes stared at mine, then he smiled. "I do."
My brows automatically furrowed, "You do what?"
"I do like it!" He said it happily like a kid who has his favorite toy bought by his mom. My eyes lightened up, I was expecting that he'll not actually like it. Kasi kapag hindi niya nagustuhan, itutusok ko sa kaniya 'yung pen na 'yon. Kidding.
"You know what? Bibili na dapat ako nito next week, pero naunahan mo ko. He was smiling up to his ears. He held the pen and tried it. It was really obvious in his eyes that he liked it, I wanted to pat my own head and tell my self that I did a nice job.
"I'll try these tips at home." Hinila niya ko palapit sa kaniya, and hugged me, "Thank you for this. Akala ko hindi mo ko babatiin." He whispered to my ear, and chuckled.
Agad akong kumalas sa yakap niya at hinampas siya sa braso, "Bakit ba kasi hindi mo sinabi sa'kin 'yung birthday mo? Kung hindi pa sinabi sa'kin ng kapatid mo, hindi ko pa malalaman." Nagtatampong sabi ko sa kaniya, and crossed my arms. Instead of answering me, he just laughed and hugged me again.
"Thank you for celebrating with me. Ngayon na lang 'ata ako ulit nagcelebrate." He said cooly before letting me go.
I drove home, at bumungad sa'kin si Dark sa'kin sa gate. He was looking worried while his hands were crossed on his chest, wearing his sweater 'cause it was cold outside.
"Ate!"
I walked slowly to him while smiling and humming. I'm kind of happy today, and excited to tell him what happened a while ago.
"Gabi na ha, ba't nasa labas ka pa?" I asked nang makalapit sa kaniya na hindi pa din maipinta ang mukha.
"Where's your phone?" He questioned, and I pointed my finger inside my bag, feeling confused. He gestured me to check on it.
Nanlaki mata ko nang makita ang mga missed calls nina mommy at Dark, "What's this?" Inis kong tanong habang binubuksan isa-isa 'yung mga text messages. Ashley's message caught my attention.

Girl, sorry! Hindi mo naman sinabi sa'kin na kailangan mo pala ng back up ko ngayon. Nasabi ko tuloy sa mommy mo na hindi tayo magkasama! Sorry, Solly!
Napatakip ako sa bibig ko pagkatapos mabasa 'yung text niya. What does she mean? I looked at Dark cluelessly, and he was like ready to explain any moment.
