Sadlyeen sat in her office swinging her chair and playing with a pen going through a report while Melanie lounged on the office couch . More like attempt to complete checking the report since it had to be done before moving on to other work.

“Mel, you’ve been at my house too much. I’m beginning to question why I gave you the key.”
“Relax sis, I just happen to love it there. You should be happy I want to spend time with you.” Melanie examined her nails.
“It's not with me, it’s with my house.”
“Its not like you’re complaining, I know you; my stay at your house is not that big a care for you.”
“Such words when you are wearing my dress.” Sade lifted an eyebrow.
“Get over it.”
Sadlyeen rolled her eyes. Before she could respond Chrissie came in.
“Sadlyeen, Michael’s here.”
“Tell him to come.”
Sadlyeen glanced back at her sister hoping she hadn't heard that declaration, somehow.
“You were saying something about shopping, which seems splendid as you clearly need to get out of my clothes.”
Maybe she could get Melanie out her office to avoid the awkwardness bound to ensue.
“Don’t try to change the subject missy, is that the bastard Chris was talking about.” Melanie sat up crossing her legs.
No luck there.
“You go get a massage or something, you need to unwind, and then we’ll meet up in the afternoon and go sister bond on shopping.” As Sadlyeen finished the sentence, Michael walked in.

His eyes widened slightly at seeing Melanie but he quickly put on an impassive expression.
“Melanie. . .” he said in greeting not bothering to stretch his hand. No doubt the gesture would be ignored as tension filled the air in the room.
“My, my, if it isn’t the bastard.” Melanie stood up in a single fluid motion. Sadlyeen followed suit a few seconds later and walked around her desk just in case she needed to step between them. Her younger sibling was very unpredictable.

Melanie made a great show of picking her handbag and walking to Sadlyeen.
“Later sis, I do need to unwind.” She gave Sade a quick hug and made her way to the door. Although she could fit through, Mel paused dramatically so Michael was forced to move aside. After glaring unrepentantly at the man, she left without another word to Sadlyeen's ease.

“That’s a relief I thought her eyes would burn holes through me.” Michael smiled unbuttoning his coat. He sat on the couch she had just vacated and crossed his legs one hand on its back with the other resting gently on his knee. Hello Mr. CEO.

“She hates your guts, come to of think of it, my whole family does.” Sadlyeen aired kicking the distracting thought from her mind. How dare he look so fine sitting comfottably in her office the complete picture of a boss man.
“Wow, your parents and Dale too?”
“You forgot Kyle, he’s practically family.” She smiled thinking about his dominating appearance, she liked a man in control.
“Your best friend, that’s a lot of hate for one person.”
“You have no idea.”
“What about you?”
Sade looked away answering after a brief pause.
“I think you know the answer to that Michael”
He nodded.
“Let’s get to work?” he asked changing the subject.
“Of course, we have a lot to do.” Did she hate him? Of course she did why was that even a question? She did! Didn't she?

Michael sighed inwardly; Sadlyeen’s admission had hit a nerve. He supposed he deserved it. Looking at her as she gathered the files, he felt an ache in his heart. She was dressed in a short white dress that hugged her body in all the right places. Her long glossy hair was tied in a ponytail which gave a proper view of her face. Her eyebrows were not too many, not too few. Her unnatural gray eyes were not only pretty but also seemed as if they could see right through you. Her straight nose and angular cheekbones gave her a nice shape while full lips were the final touch on her beautiful face. Who would’ve known the cute teenage girl would grow into such a sensual woman.

“What?” Sade questioned.
“What.” Michael replied.
“You’re staring. . .” She mentioned matter-of-factly.
“It’s a nice view.”
“I bet that’s what you tell all the girls.” Sadlyeen snorted opening the first file while Michael reached for his pen. Some plans needed to be approved to begin the ground work. The client had given a very reasonable timeline which eased the pressure of the deadline. Nevertheless, it was important to stay on schedule. A lot of the project would be dealt with in the office but on site visits were necessary too.
