Alexander's POV
"So..." John started, breaking the awkward silence in the room. "Your locket is pretty."
"Oh, thanks." I smiled. "My mom gave it to me before she died. It's a family heirloom."
"Oh, cool. What's in it?"
"A picture of my mom and brother." I smiled, opening it and showing him.
"Now I know where you get your ridiculously gorgeous looks from. She's beautiful." John complimented.
"Shut up. What about my brother." I grinned.
"Eh, he's alright." John teased, I laughed and closed the locket.
"I don't know what I'd do if I lost it." I sighed. "It's the last thing I have of them."
"What about your dad?"
"He can jump off a cliff for all I care." I grumbled.
"What? Why?"
"He left us when I was ten."
"Oh...Damn." I shrugged and sighed.
"I don't wanna see that man ever again." I huffed as John wrapped me in a hug. I smiled lightly and let him hold me. His arms were so strong and gentle. I felt safe with him but all good things must come to an end.
