Twenty-Seventh Chapter

Dear Diary,

Today is Valentine's Day and my birthday. I got Ondreaz some gifts that he will get tomorrow like I promised. It’s nine in the morning and Ondreaz has been gone for an hour now. So I put on this for the day. Today I promised Ondreaz to have full control although I’m giving him two surprises. I made us a scrapbook that we can continue to add to. I hope he likes it. I didn’t get him any flowers because it was too cliche. What if he thinks it’s too much? No more questions I need to get this done Ondreaz is coming. I am so nervous. Okay bye!

So it is the next morning and so much has happened. Ondreaz walked through the door and I handed him the book out of pure excitement and nervousness. He instantly had mixed emotions. He looked surprised, happy and worried. 
Ondreaz: Babe, this is so cute. You did this for me? He hugged me a bit too quickly. 
Ondreaz: You’re so cute. You are the best girlfriend ever. 
Luna: It’s a different way to say I love you. 
Ondreaz: Te amo. We kissed and Ondreaz grabbed my hand putting down the book. 
Ondreaz: My surprise is downstairs waiting for you. Close your eyes. I close my eyes and he holds my hand carefully leading me downstairs. Then he let go of my hand.
Sol: You look kind of stupid just standing there with your eyes closed. I know exactly who it is. I open my eyes and throw my arms around him. 
Luna: Hermano, I’ve missed you so much. I released him and hugged Estrella and Xanai. Then I greeted the servants he brought with him.
Sol: Wait one more thing. I’m Emily and you had this nigga scared. I laughed and turned to Ondreaz. I hugged him.
Ondreaz: See just trust me. 
Luna: I do trust you. I held out my hands and Estrella jumped into my arms. She laughed. Ondreaz came up behind me and waved at Estrella. She looked up, laughed and then buried her head in my shoulder. I hold her and spin her around.
Luna: Tia missed you.
Xanai: I miss you. I put my head down and she kisses my forehead. Then she reaches over and pulls on Ondreaz’s chain. He ducks his head forward. I grab her hand and shake it lightly until she let’s go.
Luna: No, no bebe. She holds out her hands to him and he takes her away from me. She puts her hands on his face examining him. Then she leans back clapping her hands making us all laugh. 

We walk into the front room and we’re all talking and introducing everyone. Then Xanai drops the bomb.
Xanai: It’s time for the ceremony.
Luna: Wait what? That’s still happening.
Xanai: Yes that’s one of the only reasons we were granted leave from the counsel. 
Luna: And Ondreaz knew of this?
Sol: Yes he has even set up to have some of your friends here show up to the ceremony.
Luna: So he doesn’t know everything about the ceremony. 
Ondreaz: What do you mean? I turn to Ondreaz.
Luna: By tradition, Tony has to help get me ready for the ceremony. I will have little to nothing on and this will be in front of our friends. Do a bunch of stupid things that you guys can’t even understand. Yeah, I’m not doing this. I started walking away and then Sol grabbed my wrist. 
Sol: Luna it is our birthday and the last time I will see you for the next four months. Please let’s do the ceremony not for our parents but for us. It’s the day we officially become royal adults. We’ve been looking forward to this.
Luna: Fine. Tony and Xanai. We must start preparation. I will not spend all day on this. Jay please prepare Ondreaz for the ceremony. He is my Chesone. 
Jay: Your word be complete Princess Luna.
Luna: Honor to you Jay.
Ondreaz: Wait what do you mean prepare and what is a Chesone? 
Luna: It is simply like a date to the ceremony. Bring Jay up to your room where he will simply paint on you and change your clothes. Mai and Nina please prepare this space for the area. Sol you go with Jay and Ondreaz. Who did you bring as your Prayone? Then my aunty popped out.
Luna: Aunt Vanessa! I missed you. 
Vanessa: I know my niece. We can talk after the ceremony. She hugged me. Then my mom and papa came in through the door. 
Mom: Luna, m’hija.
Papa: Can’t have the ceremony without elders! I hug them both.
Luna: Okay you all have your roles. Everyone move! I hated that part. I sounded like a princess. People started moving around. I kissed Ondreaz’s cheek and gave him a light smile before going upstairs.
