Forty-First Chapter

I was scrolling through my phone when Ondreaz came in dressed two hours early. He kissed my forehead and sat on the bed. 
Ondreaz: Babe, I’m sorry but I can’t tonight.
Luna: Why not? We have plans with my sister. You know how important it is to culture that you two get along now that we’re all good.
Ondreaz: I forgot but Tony and I have a collab with Jason Derulo tonight. We can’t move it. I’m so sorry.
Luna: If you have to work you have to work.
Ondreaz: I’m sorry. I put down my phone and look at him.
Luna: It’s fine baby, honestly. Plus you’re meeting with Jason Derulo you should be excited. I leaned over and hugged him, swallowing all of my disappointment.
Ondreaz: You made a big deal of tonight.
Luna: Listen, why are you worrying? I will talk to Vic and she will understand. You look so cute. 
Ondreaz: Thank you so much for being so cool about this literally you are the best girlfriend ever. I have to go now. I looked at my dresser.
Luna: Missing something. I grabbed his carino chain and put it around his neck. He turned around and grabbed mine that was next to his. He put my necklace around my neck. He put his arms around my neck.
Ondreaz: I love you so much!
Luna: I love you too. We kissed and he walked out. This is the truth about being an influencer sometimes you have to make certain sacrifices. This career is all about opportunity when it comes you answer. I love him and he needs to do this. Victoria is just going to have to understand.

I got ready and put on this.

Avani, Anthony and I all uber there together. Victoria was not happy. She fake smiled and hugged all of us.
Victoria: Please tell me Ondre went to pick up a gift or something.
Luna: No um he can’t make it. 
Victoria: Luna tu sabes esta noche es mucho importante para nosotros si? (Luna you know how important tonight if for us)
Luna: Sí, pero él tiene trabajo. Por favor mi amigos están aquí. (Yes but he has work. Please my friends are here) She rolled her eyes
Victoria: Well tonight is what we call Prodigal Night. When two siblings are pushed apart normally they bring a significant other with one or two friends to unite them. Glad to have you both here.
Luna: So many dumb laws and rituals. Not that spending time with you is dumb but do we have to make it sounds so weird?
Victoria: I know let’s order. After an awkward five minutes we started talking and laughing. We were telling a story.
Victoria: So Luna walks into the room and goes let’s make a statement. So for the ceremony she would’ve worn a bralette with cuts on the sides, and the bikini bottom as well, with painted bands. She got this black Adidas sweat suit and wanted me to send her out in it. We all laughed.
Luna: We settled on a red colored lace robed that I could tie over everything. My mom literally afterwards just yelled LUNA FUEGO VICTORIA JORDAN HERE NOW! We all started laughing.
Avani: I never understood how that works with the whole clothes thing.
Luna: We show a lot of skin simply due to color and tradition. That was my normal. Until we came here to America. My mom had on this bikini and so did I. I was 12, apparently looking 16 and a lady came up to us. She said maybe we should cover up because guys were staring. Then I started looking at all the things I wore. After that incident I was wearing a crop top and shorts. This guy assumed I was 16 and wouldn’t leave me alone until my security pulled a gun on him. I didn’t want to feel uncomfortable so I covered up a bit. My mom hates it because she feels like if she never brought us here then I would never think that way of myself.
Anthony: That’s so messed up.
Avani: The lady told you that? Women supporting women must have not been a thing.
Victoria: When she switched to me I loved it. To be with another gifted kid and such a fashion challenge.
Luna: You got me comfortable again. Happy PSD little sister.
Victoria: To family and friends. She raised her glass and we all toasted. 
Luna: Victoria tonight you learn “deja que el fuego te guíe”. We say that in this family because no matter what happens your passion matters more than anything. Love or whatever is in your heart let that fire guide you.
Victoria: Greatest honor from you. We smiled at each other. 
Luna: Do you know Americans have a sweet 16 which definition is really nothing. We laughed.
Victoria: I designed a dress for that thing. It was like what are you celebrating, your driver’s license? 
Avani: It’s so weird how you see our traditions and we see yours as completely weird.
Luna: Yes it is but differences make the world a brighter and more fun place. We all shook our heads in agreement. We had fun and all went home.

Ondreaz got home two hours after me. He walked into the room and kissed my forehead. I was reading with my glasses on because I’m tired of contacts.
Ondreaz: Hi babe, you look cute in your glasses.
Luna: I’m thinking about wearing them more often. How was your night?
Ondreaz: It was a lot of fun. 
Luna: I’m glad you had fun. We missed you tonight.
Ondreaz: How was it? Was Victoria upset?
Luna: Yes a bit but I talked to her and she will be fine. It was a nice night I still missed you though. He started taking off his clothes.
Ondreaz: I am so tired. I take off my glasses because we have a video at awesomenesstv and we have to be up early.
Luna: We have that video in the morning, don’t forget. I went into the bathroom to get ready for bed and Ondreaz joined me soon enough. Even though we were both tired we still found ourselves dancing together in the bathroom. After that we were about to go to sleep just pillow talk like actual bed talk. 
Luna: I love these moments with you. 
Ondreaz: I love every moment with you.
Luna: You’re so sweet. We need to go to bed though.
Ondreaz: I love how on task you are but also spontaneous. We can be at a meeting on time but on the way back we would do something so different not even on task at all. I smiled and looked into his eyes. I felt like with all that goes on I need to make sure Ondreaz feels appreciated.
Luna: I love you baby, don’t forget that okay? No matter what we go through remember I’m in love with you and only you. You bring me so much happiness and joy. What we have gone through and the way you fought for us. I’m so happy and blessed that you are mine. He started tearing up.
Luna: Do not freaking cry you’re going to make me cry.
Ondreaz: You make me happy so the fact that I make you happy... You mean so much to me and it’s just so amazing to find someone who feels the exact same way you do. He started crying.
Luna: Aww baby… come here. I held him for a few seconds then we kissed. 
Ondreaz: I love you.
Luna: I love you too. We went to sleep.
