Thirty-Sixth Chapter

Let me tell you the story Diary. Three years and 5 months ago I was 17 and stupid. I had a fashion assistant who made sure I was dressed and always ready for important events which happened every week. We were so close she was like my sister. Her name is Victoria. In all of my life I have never heard my parents fight or even argue but they have been for the past six months. One night in October I wanted to hear what they were arguing about.
Papa: They are already close, what would be the harm?
Mom: You brought her into our home, into our lives. Do you know how hard it is for me? I couldn’t have kids. I was so confused.
Papa: Yes, but we have two beautiful kids.
Mom: Shut up and let me finish. I couldn’t bring children into this world. Yes I love our kids with all my heart and I wouldn’t change a thing in the world when it comes to them. I could hear her voice breaking.
Mom: Victoria is a constant walking reminder of what I could never do and of how you betrayed my trust.
Papa: Mi amor lo siento. En serio pero ella es mi hija. (My love I'm sorry. Seriously but she is my daughter.)
Mom: LO SE! (I KNOW) Then the room went quiet and I ran back to my room crying. I never thought about it this way but what if he loved her more because that’s his “real daughter”. I was his only daughter, his only princess, quite literally. Victoria is my real sister?!

The next day I had a meeting but cancelled it. I was too busy trying to let go and wrap my head around the new reality. I’ll tell Victoria and we’ll figure it out together. She can’t know, we’ve both been betrayed. Then as I was about to walk into my room. I heard them talking.
Victoria: Are you sure Luna wouldn’t mind? She seems very fond of this crown.
Papa: Sure she won’t. She has so many, she probably won’t even miss it. Besides it’s a family heirloom you deserve to have it.
Victoria: Okay if you say so. Tears filled up in my eyes and I walked away. She knew! We were supposed to be bestfriends. I trusted her but she is lying too. Now she’ll really pay. I thought of all of the things I could do but I went too far. Victoria had this secret boyfriend whose father did not approve of their relationship. Mainly because he feared that if his son didn’t marry royalty he would leave it. He wanted his son to be with me. That’s who he had envisioned and he was very stubborn. Kevin, son of the Duke, however in a meeting with me couldn’t take his eyes off of Victoria. They have been dating for three months and couldn’t be happier. Let’s end that.

The next day I waited until I knew they were out to call his dad.
Luna on the phone: Hi Duke Wong.
Duke Wong: Hi Luna, what can I do for you future daughter in law?
Luna: May not seem that way anymore. Kevin has been dating Victoria for about two months now.
Duke Wong: Victoria?! I will deal with him immediately! Do not worry my dear.
Luna: Never worried, only concerned. Bye now. I hung up the phone delighted in the wickedness I caused. Two hours later she called me crying about the whole situation. Basically Kevin has very high respect for his elders. His dad made him break it off and now he’s being forced to date me.
Luna: Stop your crying I know.
Victoria: You know? I-uh-I don’t understand.
Luna: You knew this entire time! Didn’t tell me and now you’re going to pay.
Victoria: Luna, I seriously don’t know what’s going on. What is this even about?
Luna: Really? My dad!
Victoria: What?
Luna: I saw you two in my room. I know what’s going on!
Victoria: Just wait let me explain…
Luna: No you want to tear apart my family, I’ll tear you down first. I hung up the phone.

For the first month I pretended to date Kevin right in front of Victoria. She hated every second of it but it wasn't enough. So at the all teen party I waited until it was almost midnight when everyone would be there. She hated peanut butter to the point where it made her gag even from the smell. I took a spoon of it, shoved it down her mouth and made her puke all over herself in front of everyone. She ran out crying. No one really knew her but me so everyone laughed except for Xanai and Sol. He stopped speaking to me that night. After that she quit which I was so happy for. Kevin was upset but he’ll get over it. Love is overrated anyway. The most successful I’ve seen is my brother and his fiance.
