Thirtieth Chapter

After the fun day Estrella is beyond tired. We take her back to the hotel to Aunt Vanessa. 
Aunt Vanessa: Her sleep schedule is non-existent now. 
Ondreaz: How are you guys not tired?
Luna: 11 hr flights right into 15 hour meetings will build a tolerance to being sleep deprived.
Sol: Remember the education initiative?
Xanai: Better question baby, do we want to remember that?
Ondreaz: What was the problem?
Luna: Our country because so well hidden before doesn’t really get noticed a lot. The way we bring money into the country is through trade. Mainly engineering and farming. Don’t ask me how that works. Our problem was that at the time we didn’t have enough money for health care and education. So we’re stressing our country’s budget trying to find a way to keep free health care and education but also make education better. 
Xanai: Meeting lasted for about 23 hours.
Ondreaz: How old were you guys?
Luna: We were all 16. Remember at that time Sol is about to take the throne and I just got my second masters. Mom and papa wanted to make sure Xanai was there to see if she could keep up as future queen.
Ondreaz: I would’ve been kicked out. I would’ve been drooling on the table. Be like some… mmm yeah we need to save the whales. We laughed as he demonstrated.
Luna: At 16 you were still in school right?
Ondreaz: Yes where 16 year olds are supposed to be. 
Xanai: School was pretty fun. I didn’t go to school with these guys because I am normal. We laughed. 
Aunt Vanessa: You guys need to get going for your “Hype Game Night?”.
Luna: Ahhh yes time for some fun. Please tell me you guys brought real alcohol. I tried this thing called Tequila. Has the effects of water. 
Xanai: You know I always got you. She held up a bottle of our nation's finest.
Ondreaz: What’s that?
Luna: Something you will not have. Your body is not used to such a strong substance.
Ondreaz: I’m a man I can handle it.
Luna: Meaning a woman can’t.
Ondreaz: No I… um it’s just a.
Luna: Uh huh. No.
Xanai: I’ve taught you well.
Sol: Taught her what? Ondre just doesn’t have the capacity to overcome it.
Xanai: So are you saying you chose someone stupid for Luna? You’re twin sister who by birth right is your job to protect?
Sol: Well ugh no… um I… was just umm…
Xanai: Yeah sh. We both laugh. Sol put his arm over Ondreaz’s shoulder.
Sol: Best advice just say yes honey and move on. 
Xanai and Luna: Agreed. 
Aunt Vanessa: Well can I have a moment with my niece before you all leave. I smile and hold out my hand to her and she grabs it. 

She leads me to her bedroom. 
Luna: I’ve missed you aunty.
Aunt Vanessa: Like I haven’t missed my little trouble maker as well. I have a gift for you.
Luna: We’re not supposed to give gifts just wisdom.
Aunt Vanessa: And you’re a fan of rules since when? I’ll do you one better. She hands me a gift box.
Aunt Vanessa: My wisdom for you is to run this place while you’re here. Be whoever you want to be. Just don’t let that man sitting out there go. Hold onto him as tight as you can because from experience good guys don’t always come so easily.
Luna: Yes aunty I receive this advice.
Aunt Vanessa: Open up your gift. I opened up to see at least an eight month supply of Labeh tea. I gave her the biggest hug.
Luna: Thank you! Periods are going to be a lot less stressful now.
Aunt Vanessa: You don’t have to be such a baby.
Luna: Okay. Tears come into my eyes.
Luna: It’s like I’m leaving all over again. She hugs me.
Aunt Vanessa: You are living your dream here. Safe Haven is always going to be here but this opportunity is now. So don’t miss me, live life for me. I wiped my eyes and gave her one more hug. 

I went into Estrella’s room and she was twisting and turning. I picked her up and she woke  up still tired. Tears came back into my eyes. I’m going to miss her.
Estrella: Monster. She was crying a little. I lifted her up and started patting her back and walking around the room. She was still crying. Ondreaz came into the room. 
Ondreaz: Babe it’s time to… you okay?
Luna: Mhm just a nightmare and aunty is going to miss her niece. I continued walking around the room until she fell back asleep. I slowly put her back down in the bed.
Luna: I love you Estrella. I kissed her forehead. Ondreaz put his arm around me. 
Ondreaz: She’s so sweet.
Luna: You need to know her longer. Little terrorist when she’s ready. 
Ondreaz: Takes after her aunty. I lightly hit him in his stomach as we both laugh. My aunt Vanessa walked in. 
Aunt Vanessa: Okay you two go be cute at game night. I laughed and hugged her. As we’re on our way out, Xanai stops me. 
Xanai: Okay my private time.
