The Call

Stephen had some time ago brought himself and Tony back to the sanctum. Since their location of the beach house is known the sorcerer felt it was safe to stay there. Though he knew they couldn't stay long here either. The sanctum was a pretty obvious spot for the government to find them. Strange just needed to look through some books, see if there was any way to keep him and boyfriend safe. He had some minutes ago left the mechanic in a room with some scented candles and many pillows to keep the brunette relaxed. "Maybe I could take us to another dimension..." He mumbled which earned him a smack on the head from the cloak. "Oh what would you know" Stephen rubbed his head.

Tony had been very quiet ever since they were attacked. He was scared, yes, but he also felt like if he tried to be a part of any decisions, the pressure would make him snap and all hell would break loose again. He was curled up on the pillows, watching the candles flicker dimly when he sighed heavily and rolled over onto his side to face Stephen. "Do whatever... at this point, no one is truly safe."

The book Stephen was currently holding shut itself and floated away as another followed the sorcerer who walked next to the brunette and sat down next to him. "I promise I'll keep us, especially you, safe from harm.." He combed his fingers through Tony's hair to relax him while accepting the other book with his free hand. "Maybe being somewhere far from here could help..." Strange took his hand away from the mechanics head and opened the book. "What I've come across so far is I can either change our appearance or I can take us to another dimension...but I can keep looking"

Tony sighed deeply and curled up more. Was there any hope for them? For the world? Who could take back New York and solve this mess the old fashioned way? "We should be helping... not running away..." Tony fidgeted slightly and tried to meet Stephens gaze, but he was too busy looking at his books. "Stephen, are you even listening to me?..."

Stephen sighed deeply and shut his book. "I don't want you in harm's way Anthony..." He stood and floated a few feet away. Having more than one book open up so he could look at many at the same time. "I know running is a good answer but what else could we do? I have to protect you, help us and it sounds selfish I know but it's not like a team up can be arranged"

Or could it? Tony huffed and crossed his arms as he watched for a moment, then had an idea. But it would need the avengers tower, so he hoped what he needed wasn't destroyed. He stood up and stretched. "Mm... I'm gonna go for a little break, I'll be back in a few minutes." Before Stephen could reply, Tony was out the door and he glanced around before going outside and into his suit. The sanctum was in New York, but not downtown thankfully. He looked back to the doorway before flying off with his cloaking on so hopefully he'd be undetected.

Stephen rushed after Tony and soon headed out the door "Anthony!" He shouted but when looking around the mechanic was nowhere in sight which worried him a lot. Where did he go? Was he planning something? If so, why not tell the sorcerer? Strange groaned and rubbed his hand over his face. "Hopefully he'll be okay..." The cloak comforted Stephen by wrapping itself around him and patting his head with it's corner.

Tony winced at his calls and suddenly a memory flashed in his head, causing him to gasp audibly. It reminded him of when he snapped and left Stephen to do whatever it was he was trying to prove. This upset him so much he accidentally clipped the side of a building and swerved dangerously, struggling to right himself. 'Don't snap... don't snap...' He thought desperately as he climbed into the vents of the tower. Hydra had rebuilt and remodeled the place, hooray.. He looked around until he found it. A little compartment he had made just for these kinds of situations, and pulled out the avengers card he put inside. He sighed deeply and hesitated before activating it, and noticed something glisten out of the corner of his eye. Was that.... his old ring?!
