Stephen had been floating around the sanctum for anything necessary to use for defense. It had been some time since Tony made that call for the others. The sorcerer believed that they would come even though he knew the mechanic still had his doubts. "I'm sure at least one will come, either way we have to stop evil from taking over"

Tony sighed heavily and fingered his new engagement ring, pacing around the sanctum. "But what if they don't? W-What if they won't come after all I've done with the city and all? Then we'd have to clean up this mess all on our own and I-I don't know if I could handle the pressure-"

"Anthony" Stephen calmly said as he was now in front of the mechanic, both hands on the brunette's cheeks. You're a very strong man that can do anything you set your mind to. Together you and me can handle this. I know it, but I am also confident that the others will arrive. We'll just need to be patient..."

Tony sighed heavily and leaned into his fiance's touch, feeling like this whole situation was hopeless. He gazed up at his Stephen with his large bambi eyes and leaned up to give him a soft kiss, hoping to feel reassurance through it. "But you know that patience just isn't my thingggg... I hate being patient!" the mechanic huffed, much to the amusement of Strange..

Stephen chuckled lightly. "You're pretty cute when you're pouty.." the sorcerer wrapped his arms around the mechanic's waist and spun him around in the air. In hope that it would also cheer the brunette up, having patience isn't always easy, and he should know. "Don't worry, who knows it could be any minute"

Tony giggled and held onto his sorcerer as he was spun around, and he hoped that Stephen was right about people coming to call. Soon there was a knock on the door, and Tony tensed, feeling nervous. He moved over to the door behind a protective Stephen and waited as it opened. "Ah! So this IS the right address!" Scott exclaimed in... Captain America's attire? "Oh... uh, hey Scott. Where's Steve?" Scott sighed and smiled lopsidedly as they let him inside. "Ah, well since he's small he passed on his stuff to me! Pretty neato, huh?"

Stephen eyed Scott, floating around him and seeing a lot of potential in him. "That is good" the sorcerer smiled and looked at Tony. "this is good! I told you someone would come and I can tell he will be of big help"

Tony eyed the brunette skeptical though, his eyes narrowing slightly. He didn't know if he trusted him completely to not goof this up or anything, but he guessed Scott was better than nothing. "Uhuh, yeah right of course..." Scott swallowed and glanced around awkwardly. "Uh, well I'm pretty sure I saw Thor on the way over here..."

"See! Help is coming! And may I say this is impressive" Stephen kept looking at Scott, smiling brightly. "You must really be brave of heart for Captain America to pass this down to you. You and along with Thor, we all can be able to stop the forces of evil!" Strange had much more confidence about this.

Tony hugged himself and sighed heavily, looking out the window as Thor came crashing in, followed by Selene- with a little more than convincing he had allowed her to come. Then Nat came along with Wanda- something seemed to be going on there...And that seemed to be it as far as Tony knew. He felt a little overwhelmed by the crowd and slipped up the stairs to another room, taking deep breaths. He hoped Stephen could be a better leader than HE ever was for the avengers…

"Anthony...?" Stephen looked worried when Tony left the room and decided to follow. "I'll be right back, just chat for now...or something..." Strange said to the group as he went to the direction the mechanic went off to. "Anthony, can we talk? If you're not okay please tell me.."

Tony glanced at him and shrugged, feeling like there were all these amazing heroes, then there was just him. Not to be trusted with fighting as far as he was concerned, it was wayyy too risky. "I-I don't know, Stephen... I guess maybe I'm just a little overwhelmed or... something..."
