°Three Years Ago°
The summer breeze caught into your hair as you dangled from the tree branch. Gazing upon the bluenette below you. Ciel Phantomhive sat beside the tree holding his knees close to his chest. His blue eyes were focused on the novel he held in his small pale hands. You and him had refused to join the social gathering that was being held at the Phantomhive manor. You knew that Lady Elizabeth was still searching for you both. The thought of this made you roll your eyes. It's not that you didn't like her. It's just....it felt like she got in the way with everything. She never liked the way you dressed either. Your dark . She said that a lady must never wear such "depressing" clothing. But you didn't care. You weren't a noble lady....but that was also the problem....you weren't a noble lady. Therefore if you really wanted to marry the Earl...you don't think you ever could. He knew that your father was Undertaker, which of course he didn't mind. At least that's what he had told you. You flipped down to the ground sitting beside him.
"Whatcha readin?" You asked scanning the pages he was on.
"Jude the obscure." He replied turning the page. "It's a very well written book, once I'm done you can borrow it. If you'd like." The teen looked at you presenting a soft smile on his face.
You nodded. "Yes, Ciel. I would like that very much."
The sun came out from the clouds, warming you up from it's heat. You tossed your hair to one side of your shoulder and began to run your hands through it. The tree above you began to dance slowly as the breeze caught it. You looked down beside you to notice a beautiful blue colored . You picked it gently holding it in your fingers. The blue. It reminded you of Ciel's eyes. You smiled holding it towards him. His attention was on the flower now. He looked at you.
"This is for you." He smiled taking it from your hand.
"No, you shouldn't waste such a beautiful thing on me. It deserves to be on a beautiful lady, such as yourself." Ciel took the flower and placed the stem behind your ear. The flower's color popped out. Your big smile did as well.
"Thank you..Ciel." A small hint of blush ran over your cheeks.
"You're welcome {Y/N}."
A big flash of a bright color caught your eye. "Ciel!" Lady Elizabeth called out running out of the manor.
"Oh no." You sighed.
"Ciel! Come on!" She cried out making her way towards you. "There's a slice of strawberry cake still left!" She stood beside him clasping her hands together. Her curly hair waved in the wind, her pure green eyes matched perfectly with the summers grassy hills. And her pink flowery dress....I guess you could say it standed out the most.
"I came out here because I wanted to read." Oops. ..were you interrupting his reading time?
"Well, I thought you were already inside. I could've sworn I saw you in there."
Ciel shook his head. "No, I've been out here since the gathering even started."
She noticed you. "Oh, hello {Y/N}!" She cheerfully greeted you.
"Hello, Lady Elizabeth." You looked down awkwardly, wanting her to go away.
"If you change your mind. Please do come inside."
A frown formed on her lips. The blond walked slowly to the manor. You watched as you stood up on your feet. "I'm sorry if I was interrupting your reading, Phantomhive." You dusted the imaginary dust off your dress.
"{Y/N}, you weren't-"
"I have to be home around this time. It was lovely spending time with you." You flashed a smile and began to walk away. You took off the flower and held it close to your face, not looking back. You didn't say goodbye. Because for some odd reason you hated saying goodbye to Ciel. But I guess one day you were going to have to learn how to.
Thank you so much for reading! <3
