Five Years Later
There's a wedding today. The path made for all of us connected for this day. Our group stayed in touch with each other for all of these years, and today will be the first time in five years that all of us are in one room together.
"Ugh," I groaned out coming out of the bathroom.
"Are you okay, y/n? If you're not feeling well we can start later."
"No!" I shook my head and smiled. "I just needed to let that out. I'm feeling a lot better now."
"Alright,"
I walked up to him and fixed his tie. "You look so handsome, Taehyung."
He blushed and looked away. "Not as beautiful as you."
I giggled. "After today, we can't have our little flirty banters."
Taehyung chuckled. "That won't stop me from expressing my affection for you."
"You're too cute, Taehyung." I kissed his cheek. I looked at my phone and then put it away in my purse. "It's time, are you ready?"
He let out a nervous sigh and nodded. "I'm ready."
We walked to the entry way of the venue and stood by the doors, waiting for them to open. One at a time we walked down the aisle. When it was my turn I smiled at Taehyung, and made my way down the aisle. I held a little bouquet in my hand and all eyes were on me. I kept a smile on my face, and then I spotted Jin. Once we made eye contact, the smile I had turned into a loving one, and he was the only one I was looking at now.
I made my way to the front and stood in position. Everyone else stood up and looked towards the back, waiting for the doors to open again. A soft romantic song was playing and we waited in anticipation. The doors opened and out came a nervous Taehyung, linked with both of his parents. He took a few deep breaths as he made his way down the aisle and once he made eye contact with his future husband, it was like all of the nerves went away.
I glanced at Yoongi who was standing at the altar, and a single tear fell on his face. He wiped it away and smiled at Taehyung, whose boxy smile was becoming wider. Once he reached Yoongi, his parents sat in their seats, and Yoongi and Taehyung joined hands.
"We are gathered here today to join these two in marriage," Jimin started. Yoongi and Taehyung asked him to marry them so he got ordained online. "Yoongi and Taehyung have known each other since high school and I have had the pleasure to be a part of their lives, watching them grow as individuals, and with each other. As a friend, I am extremely proud and happy that they found each other, I couldn't imagine them with someone else. So let's get this started."
The ceremony was short and sweet. Yoongi and Taehyung said their vows to each other, personal and full of love. I've been feeling more emotional lately, and I shed some tears listening to them declare their never ending love to each other. Once all has been said, Jimin pronounced them husband and husband. The room filled with applause and cheers.
The reception started and I was sitting at my table with Jin, sitting right next to me.
"Did I tell you how beautiful you look today?" Jin asked tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
I giggled. "Yes, you told me maybe a thousand times already," I held his hand. "And I will never get tired of you telling me."
Jin then stood up and and extended his hand out. "May I have this dance?"
I smiled and nodded, taking hold of his hand and following him to the dance floor.
The last fives years have been great. I recently graduated college and am now starting my internship. My dad and I are in a really great place now. I don't see him as much as I used to but we call each other weekly, and we try to see each other at least once a month with my mom.
