James woke that morning to the sound of somebody tutting. As he opened his eyes, he made out the form of Buffy standing over him.
"Really, you two? I leave you for one night and this is what happens?" Buffy said, picking up James' shirt and throwing it at his face.
"What time is it?" James asked, sitting up. Realising he wasn't wearing anything underneath the bed covers, he quickly moved them further up.
"Nine, we're meeting with Giles at his place in an hour. He's already got me up to speed on the situation." Buffy explained.
Willow started to move as she heard voices, waking her up, "Hey Buffy." she said, still not fully awake to remember what happened last night immediately. She looked at James lying next to her, then realised neither of them were wearing anything under the covers. "Oh." she said, blushing after finally remembering.
"Well, I must say. Since I've gotten here, my luck has certainly been changing." James quipped, lying back down with his hands behind his head.
Buffy throws one of James' socks at him, "Don't go back to sleep, or do anything else in that bed other than leaving it."
"Alright, I'm moving." James said, sitting back up.
"Um, Buffy. Could we get a little privacy while we get dressed and we'll meet you outside?" Willow asked bashfully.
"Sure, don't take too long." Buffy responded, leaving.
"Don't take too long? She said we have an hour, it can't take that long to walk to Giles' house?" James said, standing up to begin getting dressed.
Willow laughed lightly, "The only thing Buffy is ever late for is class, she's always an hour early to everything else." She stood up and began getting dressed as well.
"Hey, so Willow?" James said, turning to look at her as he was putting his shirt on.
"Wait!" she gasped, still not fully dressed. James laughed.
"It's not like I've not already seen everything." he said, turning back around to give her privacy, pulling his trousers on.
"I know, but what is it?" she said, swiftly changing the subject as she continued dressing.
"Well, maybe we could do something tonight? Like go on a date to somewhere around here?" James suggested, tying his shoes.
"Like on a date date?" Willow asked, having put on most of her clothes.
James turned around and smiled at her, "Yeah, I think that..." James leaped on the bed landing on his stomach, "...I would like to date this little cute redhead."
Willow stood there, staying silent for a good five seconds before finally speaking, "I mean, I don't know James, I just got out of a pretty long relationship and had a really rough break-up." she said, rubbing her arm.
"Well, you seemed fine about it all last night." James said, mentally pleading that she was kidding.
"I just can't, I'm sorry. Maybe another time but-" Willow started.
"No that's fine!" James shouted suddenly, making Willow jump. "Just use me for break-up sex like I have no feelings, that's perfectly fine!"
James stormed out of the room, "James! Wait!" Willow shouted after him but he had already left.
"You took your time." Buffy said, leaning against the wall outside of the room.
"And it didn't pay off at all." James mumbled as he paced off past Buffy in anger.
