"Mommy! I want to learn how to swim like Daddy. Daddy is a good swimmer!" Sophia called to me from her bedroom. I laughed and looked at Percy, who was watching the Yankees on TV.

"That's my girl, Soph!" Percy yelled back to her. I heard a giggle from upstairs. I continued to make my attempt at lasangna. Percy's mom, Sally, and Paul were coming over and I wanted to make something special for them, since they always do it for us.

"She's such a character," I told Percy as I lowered myself to put the lasangna in the oven. He came over to help me. I smiled and kissed him on the lips lightly. Percy stood up and paused the TV. I stood up in front of him and smiled, yet again.

"That looks really good," Percy said, gesturing towards the chocolate cake I had cooling on the counter. He tried to get past me, but my old fighting skills instincivly kicked in and I sidestepped to block him.

"Aww!" Percy whined, then marched away playfully.

"So Sophia, what do you want to do tomorrow?" Sally asked Sophia as we ate the chocolate cake. The iciing was bright blue, just as Percy liked it. She finished chewing, then said in a clear voice,

"I would like to take swimming lessons." So that's exactly what she did. The next day, we signed her up for swimming classes at the local pool. A woman named Nadia greeted us warmly.

"Hello. What's your name, sweetheart?" Nadia asked Sophia as she and I followed her to the desk.

"Sophia ackson. I am three." Soph stood on her tip-toes, peeking over the desk and grabbing a starlight peppermint candy.

"Pardon her." I whispered to nadia, who chuckled. She skimmed through a filing cabinet and found the name.

"Okay, right this way Mrs. Jackson and Sophia. Let me give you a tour." She lead us to the locker room, where Sophia changed into her owl swimsuit. Then Nadia showed us the shower room, the baby pool, the family pool, and the lesson pools.

"Here is your instructor, Matt. Matt, this is Sophia. She is three." Sophia smiled and slipped into the Pool. Nadia led me through a glass door into one of the viewing rooms. It was viewing room A. I took out my camera and began to film.

"You can watch her from here, and there's coffee and tea if you'd like any." Nadia informed as she walked away. I could hear Matt asking her questions. First he asked whether she had ever swam before. She said no. Then he told to ease her way in, and Sophia just cannonballed in and laughed. Matt's eyes widened.

"Are you sure you've never been in a pool?" She giggled and dove underwater, where she stayed for a minute or two. Matt saw that she was totally fine, and I thought that he knew a thing or two about half-bloods.

The whole lesson went on that way. Matt asking a question, and Sophia being amazing and exeeding every expectation. I wished I had told her not to be too good, because people might be suspicious, but too late now.

After her lesson, Matt asked me in private if Sophia had ever swam before.

"Oh, yeah." I lied. "We let her swim at her grandparents house since she was six months old. But then, of course, we held her." I thought that had been a pretty good lie.

Since I had the whole thing videoed, we showed percy the second we got home. He laughed and praised and Sophia took a few bows.

"You';re amazing, Sophie!" Percy said a few billion times.

"I told you I wanted swimming lessons!" Sophia announced.

Percy laughed, "You don't need them!"
