Chapter 23

Sorry I disappeared for a day or two again. I swear everything bad comes in three's 😅 But don't worry, I have returned. Here is the chapter I should have finished at least a day ago but didn't because I had to deal with shit...

When I woke I was immediately aware of a pair of arms wrapped around my middle. I panicked for half a second before memories from last night came rushing back. I cranked my head around and glanced behind me to see that Boromir was still asleep. Omg omg omg!
That actually happened...holy crap.

I tried to sit up but I accidentally startled him as I moved. He pushed himself up so he was resting on his side propped up by his forearm and then looked at me and smirked.

"I was afraid last night was a dream" he said and I snorted, making him frown.

"Okay, sorry, it's just that was super corny. Also it implies you've dreamt about sleeping with me. So, have you?" I asked and waggled my eyebrows suggestively.

He chuckled before answering, "more times than I would like to admit".

I laughed and sat up properly, pulling the blanket up to cover my chest because drunk me was way more body confident than sober me. It worked out to be for the best because at that moment Karma burst in, causing both of us in our makeshift bed to jump. She was grinning ear to ear as she spotted us and I relaxed a little and shot her a glare. I should have expected this.

"I KNEW IT! I fucking knew it! Oh that elf owes me, he thought Éowyn was kidding" she laughed and I raised my eyebrows.

"Wait, Éowyn? How does she know?" I asked, wondering just how many people were weirdly aware of our activities.

"Well, she went to go to bed, opened the door and apparently saw you guys going at it so she snuck away and slept on a daybed in the main hall" she laughed and I was mortified.

"Oh god no! How much did she see?" I asked, burying my face in my hands while Boromir let out a sigh and laid onto his back staring at the roof.

"I'd say a decent amount considering how red her face was. Not gonna lie, I was super tempted to burst in on you guys and make everything hilariously awkward but seeing how it was your first time I decided to be nice" she told me and I groaned in embarrassment.

"You were a virgin?" Asked Boromir and I groaned even louder, this time hiding under the covers.

"You didn't know? Wow Alice, you must have performed well" said Karma and Boromir chuckled.

"Is there any reason you're in here torturing me this early or can I have some privacy again?" I asked her from under my blanket.

"Well, first of all it's not morning, it's almost midday. Secondly, the only reason I wasn't in here earlier is because Aragorn forbade it and thirdly... Pippin did the thing with the stone and they've already left and I thought you should know" she said and I poked my head out to look at her, my hair a tangled mess.

"Oh shit I totally forgot about that" I admitted and felt a little bad for not saying goodbye.

"Wait, what has transpired?" Asked Boromir.

I went to answer but Karma held up her hand and then cut me off, "Okay so you know how Saruman dropped that looking stone back at Isengard?" She asked and Boromir nodded, "Well Pippin decided to pick it up last night and have a peek and Sauron spoke to him through it. In short, the enemy thinks Pippin has the ring, he had a vision of Minas Tirith on fire and now they're headed there on shadowfax" said Karma and Boromir gaped at her for a moment.

"That is my home!" Shouted Boromir as he went to get up in a panic and Karma had to turn around quickly or else she'd get a full view of his admittedly breathtaking form.
