I didn't exactly know what to say. It's rather intimidating being interrogated by a powerful elf queen while you're vulnerable and naked, not to mention I was lost for how to even answer her. First of all I had no idea what we were doing in this world. I think my brain had just categorised it as a happy accident and dropped the issue so I wouldn't have to stress over it. Now that I had to think about it though I wondered if there WAS even a purpose to us being here. Karma seemed equally thrown off by the question and was standing perfectly still as she processed, the shampoo in her hair drizzling down the sides and back of her head, completely forgotten.

The second issue is that I wouldn't know what to tell her about who I am. Everyone thinks they know who they are but when someone asks you to tell them, suddenly your brain begins trying to grasp even a tiny understanding and fails. I mean, I'm just some random 19yr old girl with a messed up childhood. Honestly that didn't make me special, didn't even define me really. The only thing special about me was that I was here and I could summon random shit from my own world. I wasn't even a good fighter, Boromir hadn't been lying when he'd said I fluked most of my kills. Galadriel seemed to understand our personal dilemmas and said, "how about you tell me how you got here in the first place".

"There was a lightning storm in our world. We were watching the movie of all of this" said Karma gesturing vaguely in all directions "when we were struck and somehow ended up sucked into the story ourselves".

"So this movie you speak of, it's simply storytelling?" Asked Galadriel.

"Sort of a visual storytelling where people play the parts of different characters and enact their roles for immersive purposes" I said automatically, recalling all my drama classes and assignments.

"I'm surprised you don't already know all of this. I mean, no offence at all, I'm just used to you knowing everything" said Karma.

"It's harder to read you, I can only read particularly strong emotions and feel your louder thoughts. I feel it is because you're not from this world" admitted Galadriel thoughtfully.

"Yeah, the ring had that problem too" I chuckled slightly.

"So you already know what is to come in this world" the elf queen stated rather than asked.

"Yeah, but we also have another useful talent" Karma told her and materialised a loofah. That would definitely help get the blood off.

Galadriel didn't seem overly shocked but merely muttered "fascinating".

"So when you said you could pick up on loud thoughts and emotions, did you by any chance pick up on mine?" I asked her as I sunk down to my chin in the water, already feeling deflated before even receiving an answer.

"Yes. But I have a feeling you'll do what's best" she told me and I frowned.

"But what is best?" I asked, still feeling as lost as before.

"Is this about Boromir?" Karma interjected with raised eyebrows.

I sighed and dipped my head under the water, letting the sudden silence envelope me for a moment while I imagined Karma was formulating a rant she could launch at me about how it's not right for us to change things. When I emerged about 20 seconds later however Galadriel looked as though she'd said something to Karma who was nodding in understanding.

"I will leave you to wash up now. Is there anything else you need before I depart?" Galadriel asked us and I thought for a moment.

"Uh, Yeah actually. Can you get someone to give these clothes to the men? They're identical to the clothing they had on earlier but less...troll-y" I said as I started materialising item after item and laying them down on the dry ground beside the bath. Sure they'd have a wet handprint but they were otherwise clean. I doubted the elves would have any replacement clothing appropriate for halflings and dwarves is all and I did kinda feel bad about ruining their clothes in the first place.
