I woke in the early hours of the morning and rolled over to find that Boromir was already awake and pulling on his boots. He turned when he heard me move and cast me a charming smile that made my heart flutter for a moment.

"I apologise if I woke you" he said and I shook my head.

"No, I was just ready to wake up" I told him and he nodded.

I got myself up and decided to change out of my pj's and into something that would be appropriate to wear around the keep. I decided on a pair of waist high skinny jeans and a forest green, tight long sleeve top with a turtle neck and finished it with a pair of black leather combat boots. When I was done I turned to Boromir and asked "so what are we up to this morning?"

He shrugged and replied "I was about to see if any of our friends have woken, but I do not wish to disturb their rest. Until then, I wish to go see my brother" he told me and I gave a little "oh".

It had been a long while since he had gotten to see his brother, well conscious that is. I hesitated and then sat back on the bed figuring I'd let him see his brother on his own and give him a little privacy. Boromir stopped in his preparations and held his hand out to me, "you should come with me. I am sure my brother will appreciate meeting the one who saved his life. I also believe Éowyn is resting there too and will likely have words of gratitude for you" he said.

I smiled and took his hand as I said, "I forgot that Éowyn and Faramir would be in the same wing! Oh this is going to be so much fun!" I exclaimed excitedly.

"I do not follow. Is this another future thing?" He asked and I smirked.

"Oh you better believe it. You best be getting used to having Éowyn around" I told him and he chuckled and shook his head at my excitement.

When we arrived at the courtyard outside the healing chambers Boromir quickly located his brother prowling by the ledge, watching the city be cleansed of the orc bodies. As Faramir turned around a smile broke out on his face and Boromir rushed forward to embrace his brother.

"I thought you dead" said Faramir as he squeezed his older brother back.

"I should be, but for both our sakes it is lucky this beauty exists!" Replied Boromir as he pulled back and gestured to me.

Faramir looked past his brother and I waved a little awkwardly.

"So it was you who saved me?" He asked and I laughed lightly.

"Well I helped, technically you did most of the work yourself. It turns out you and your brother are both rather arrow resistant" I joked and he grinned and chuckled at my response.

"She is funny" he said to Boromir who clapped him on the shoulder and nodded in agreement.

"Alice?" Called a voice and I turned to see Éowyn.

"Éowyn! You absolute badass! I'm so glad that you've woken up!" I exclaimed and ran to hug her.

She tensed at the sudden affection but then relaxed and giggled at my enthusiasm. I stepped back and caught her glancing over my shoulder at the younger son of Gondor which just made me smile more. I looked back at the brothers and saw that Faramir was also watching the princess of Rohan. Boromir had noticed the silent exchange too and was grinning at me knowingly.

"I heard that you were the one to treat me on the field" said Éowyn and I nodded, "I must thank you. Whatever you did helped considerably".

"It seems everyone here owes you a debt" laughed Faramir and I joined in.

"I should start a club: the 'Alice saved my life association' or something" I said.

"You would have all of Rohan and most of Gondor joining" Boromir said and Faramir shrugged in agreement.
