I'm sure that Aragorn's speech to the men was as enthralling as it was in the books and movie but honestly I wasn't paying attention. Between distributing the Molotov's and the throbbing headache I was currently feeling I was far too focused on just staying on task, although I had glimpsed Karma mouthing the words Aragorn was saying with a fake air of gusto and that at least made me smile briefly. I soon returned to my position by Boromir as he finished and turned to face the orcs who had completely encircled us by now.

"Any last advice?" Asked Boromir in a low voice.

"Yeah, watch for the troll. It will go after Aragorn and he could use some backup, stay close to him" I said and he glanced at our leader and then back to me and nodded.

"Then you need to stay close to me. I want to be able to keep an eye on you too" he said with worry in his voice. He knew I wasn't at my peak condition for battle.

I nodded and looked at Aragorn who had begun lowering his sword and walking towards the enemy in a trance like state, but I knew not to worry. He was about to charge.

"I love you" Boromir whispered to me and for a moment I forgot we were on the edge of battle as I turned and smiled at this amazing man in front of me.

"I love you more" I said with a smirk just as Aragorn let out a war cry and ran at the enemy.

Before Boromir could respond we were forced to rush forward and catch up to our bold leader who basically Leroy Jenkins'd us into this battle. I materialised a naginata and rushed to meet the swords of the enemy, making sure to keep both Boromir and Karma in my peripherals so I wouldn't get too separated and also so I could assist them if they needed me.

"Loose the Molotov's!" Shouted Karma a few metres from the blockade.

Men threw the flaming bottles as hard as they could, launching the explosives into the thick of the orc army and causing the front line to get distracted by the explosions behind them. This was exactly what I'd hoped for and soon there were gaps in the enemy defence, leaving us with weak spots to exploit and use to splinter the enemy forces. The moment my weapon crashed down on an enemies neck it was like popping the lid off a soda. The fighting erupted suddenly and overwhelmingly as metal clashed in every direction and bodies were bouncing off each other as we all fought back the line. The Molotov's were still being tossed into the back of the orcs and as much as it was doing great to break enemy formations and thin their numbers, it also caused us to watch our backs as some of the flame engulfed orcs stumbled through the battle blindly in a desperate attempt to escape their own death. There were cries of panic as the Nazgûl entered the battle atop their winged steeds but I tried to ignore it as I tried not to get myself skewered. A few of the soldiers yelled for Karma to shoot them but we knew the eagles would swoop in and I figured she really didn't want to accidentally hit them as she yelled "can't risk it! Don't worry!"

An orc suddenly lunged at me and I went to block him with the staff part of my weapon but he must have anticipated that because he slammed my naginata against the ground, locking it in place with his own blade before cackling horridly in my face as we both realised I couldn't free it from his hold. I knew he was going to be able to slash at me before I could raise my weapon to defend so I materialised a dagger just as Karma came rushing from the side and distracted him by slashing at him, causing him to lift his blade to defend. I lunged forward and stuck him under his chest plate, wedging the small but effective weapon into his rib cage where I'm sure I punctured a lung.

As he fell to the ground I shouted to Karma "thanks for the hand!"

"No problem, I have two of them!" She laughed back and I shook my head before stabbing an unaware orc through the chest with the naginata.
