What happens when two girls obsessed with Lord of the Rings suddenly find themselves in Middle Earth? Well, all hell breaks loose. Not only do they now have to help the members of the fellowship on their journey without sending the storyline spirall...
As soon as we got back to Edoras the people cheered as we wound our way up to the main hall. Everyone was in such ecstatic moods, it was a vast improvement from the vibe we'd witnessed the first time we passed through this small city. Éowyn met us in front of the steps and glanced at Karma and her hair in fascination.
"Don't worry, she just bedded a rainbow is all" I joked to her and she let out a laugh.
"Absolutely, it tasted like skittles" agreed Karma and then licked her lips.
Éowyn showed us to her quarters where she let us set up pillows and sleeping bags. We could already smell the food cooking for the feast and my blood was pumping with anticipation. I turned to speak to Karma when I found her studying me and frowning.
"What are you doing?" I asked her, quirking my eyebrows.
"Please tell me you plan to change" she said and I laughed in exasperation.
"No I fully intended to go in the clothes I've been wearing for almost a week" I stated sarcastically, "of course I'm changing! I'm also bathing, I smell terrible".
"So do I actually" She agreed as she sniffed her own weathered and pungent clothing.
"You know where the bath is" called Éowyn and I gave her a thumbs up.
We took turns, first I let Karma wash while I attempted to brush some of the tangles from my hair, then once she was done she tagged me in and I refilled the water and scrubbed my skin until I was sure every last speck of dirt and blood was gone. I wandered back to where Karma was chilling and she looked up at me wearing just a bath towel and raised a brow.
"Uh, can you please apply cream to the wounds on my back, they're pretty healed but I'd rather be safe than sorry" I asked of her and she nodded as I sat in front of her and dropped the towel from my back.
I heard her suck in breath as she took in all the new damage and then she said "you realise most of this is going to scar right?"
"Yeah, I'm a collector now" I joked with a sigh.
She finished treating the ruined skin and then asked "so, what are you going to wear for the feast?"
"Um, clothes? Why does it matter?" I laughed and she placed her hands on her hips and smirked at me.
"Well you've gotta look your best. Not only will I get great enjoyment out of strutting out there with a smoking hot girl on my arm but Boromir will be out there and I still maintain that he's into you" she told me and I groaned.
"I don't wanna think about that okay. I just wanna have fun" I said and she nodded with a shrug.
"Alright but you still gotta look mint as heck okay" she agreed and then summoned a white, lacey dress.
"Really? White?" I asked wondering how she thought this was a good idea.
"Well if I put you in black your complexion might have the people thinking the castle is haunted. This will give the illusion that you don't share the skin tone of a porcelain plate" she joked as she threw the garment at me.
I materialised white undergarments to that they wouldn't clash or show through the dress and threw it on. Karma was right about this looking mint though.
