Picking up his cell phone, Edward could see the name on the call display. "Hello, Mrs. Constantine, how may I help you?"
As soon as she heard him say hello, Olivia blurted out, "Reverend Hawthorne, we need to talk." Olivia had known Edward's Father, Randell, for a few years before his death. Her husband Marcus was a golf buddy of his.
"I have been informed that you and Lexi participated in some Voodoo exorcism thing with a witch named Tamara. And now Lexi is. . . I do not even know what she is. She is not herself, that is for sure. She is rambling on about Susannah's soul being attached to her childhood toy lamb, and now it is lost. I think the stress of her sister's death has finally pushed her over the edge and she is going insane. Now, what do you have to say for yourself, young man? And it better be good."
"Mrs. Constantine, I assure you that my only part was to save a soul, the rest of what happened was a surprise to me. But, what did you say? Lexi lost the lamb?"
"So, you did have a part in this Voodoo stuff? You are supposed to be a man of God. How could you? What would people think if they found out you played with the occult? Dear God, what is this world coming to? Reverend Hawthorne, you better fix this problem you got my Lexi into."
"Mrs. Constantine, I..." But it was too late. She had already hung up.
Edward stopped everything he was doing. This problem had to be fixed and pronto!
