Lexi drove home from the lecture repeating the message from her father, Marcus. Don't second guess your dream, Susannah needs your help.

She rubbed a thick gold band that hung on a beautiful Gucci gold chain her father had bought her as a birthday gift many years ago. The ring was passed down to her when her father died. He loved that ring, it had been his fathers before him, and his grandfathers before that. It was an heirloom.

The engraving on the inside read 'Fiat Lux,' Latin for, let there be light. Genesis 1:3. But to her, the ring just reminded her of love, family, and passion for life.

She wore it next to her heart and hadn't taken it off since her dad died. Somehow it made her feel closer to him.

The traffic was flowing easily, and she made it home in good time. Snuggling into her comfy bed, a forgotten memory of her dad popped into her dream state.

She had just gotten home from university, as she opened the door, she heard her dad yelling at her sister Susannah.

"What do you mean you do not want to go to church anymore?"

"Dad, there is no need to raise your voice and yell at me. If you can't prove to me that there is a God, we have nothing further to discuss."

"Susannah, you have to believe that there is a God. You must believe it. Don't be ridiculous. If you do not go to church, you cannot live in this house."

"Fine."

No matter what Lexi said, Susannah moved out that evening and never went to church with the family again. And worst yet, she never stepped foot into their childhood home ever again.

When Lexi awoke the next morning, it all made sense. Oh my God. Susannah died not believing in God.

Lexi always thought that all you had to do was be a good person to get into Heaven. Who knew that there was even a possibility that a soul would not get into Heaven if that person didn't believe. Oh my God, Susannah, what did you do to your soul's fate?

The next week went by faster than autumn days before winter.

It was shortly after 4:00 pm when Lexi noticed the time. She was just finishing a few final details on a new fashion design she was drawing.

It used to be all that consumed her thoughts each day. Which famous star would be wearing her designs, what elaborate function would they be attending, and where in the world would they be?

When Susannah died, everything changed. Now all she could think about was her sister being lost in the Void.

Lexi was determined to figure this all out and save Susannah. If she was going to make it to Tamara's lecture by 7:00, she better hurry.
