as corbyn screamed the lyrics to every song in his ear, zach wanted to leave. he actually wasn't enjoying himself at all.
it was smelly, sweaty and loud as hell. sure, jonah was an okay singer but not someone zach would go out of his way to listen to.
zach was huffing and shuffling, glancing at the stage every now and again. he'd enjoyed daniels performance more than he was enjoying this. finally zach gave up and tapped corbyn's shoulder,
"i have a headache, i'll meet you outside when it's over!" he yelled over the music.
"Aw okay! see you later!" corbyn hollered back. zach looked back at the stage on last time as the song ended and a new, slower song started. the chaos in the place seemed to calm down a little and zach looked around, he caught the singers eyes.
brown eyes shifting with curiosity, zach realised jonah was staring directly at him. his dark eyebrows furrowed and the hazel eyed that zach felt like he could see clearly looked straight into zach as he sang his next words.
"i know you're hurting, deep as the coldest pain..."
zach choked, looking away from jonah as corbyn screamed and jumped,
"he looked over here! he looked over here!" and suddenly zach didn't want leave. so he didn't, he stayed, listening to the rest of the song and subtly trying to catch the performers eyes again.
Later that night, zach found himself lying restlessly under his covers. so he threw them off and walked over to his window. climbing out onto the roof, zach settled down silently, pulling out his phone.
he scrolled though his instagram, catching up on things he missed. as he did so, his mind wandered to the concert corbyn had dragged him to.
going to the search page, he looked up jonahs instagram, clicking on his profile.
