Cedric and I browsed the store, picking out several garments that caught our eye, only to immediately put them back once we checked the price.

"Is there anything here that isn't worth a palace?"  He whispered to me (It was a small store, if you spoke at a normal volume everyone would be able to hear.)

We decided to check out the items that were on sale, and we managed to find a few gems in there.  For a moment I daydreamed about the beautiful dress I would've gotten if I had allowed Draco to buy it for me, but I knew how guilty I'd feel if I did, and I quickly brushed the thought out of my head.

We made our way to the dressing rooms and we each put on an article of clothing.  Cedric came out wearing an oversized button up dress robe with a large white tie.  The outfit was so bulky it made his head appear to be too small for his body, we both agreed that he should not wear it, as he'd be too tired the whole night lifting the heavy robe on his back.

I wore a black tutu dress with a corset top and puffy sleeves, I didn't hate it but it was hard to move around, and Cedric only made matters worse by calling me a 'Dust Bunny'.

"Why on earth would you say that?!"

"You said I looked like the Hunchback of Notre Dame in my dress robes!"

"Whatever, let's try on the next thing."

We tried on a few more outfits, some were too casual and others too formal.  We were both left with one last option.

I slipped on a slim black skin tight dress.  It was strapless and had a sequin finish.  I slid two lace gloves on my hands and exited the dressing room.  I looked in the mirror in shock. I had never seen anything look so good on me.  I was used to just wearing my school uniform, and this was quite a sight for sore eyes.

Cedric came out wearing long, flowy black dress robes, fit with a white button up underneath and a small black bow tie.  I'd never really found Cedric attractive until now, the outfit certainly suited him well.  He turned around to view me and his jaw instantly dropped, he tried to cover it up by coughing, which caused him to choke a bit.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine...  You look- wow."

"Thanks, you look handsome in those robes.  Do you think Draco will like this dress?"

A bit aggravated by the question, he nodded his head.

"If he doesn't like the dress he's an idiot, it looks great on you."

"Thanks Ced."  I smiled.

We paid for our items and left without a minute to spare, we hopped onto the train back to Hogwarts and spent the rest of the ride chatting about Quidditch, our favorite pastime.

It had been awhile since I'd played Quidditch, and when the Yule Ball approached I'd give anything to be playing the sport instead.
