A few days had passed and Cedric seemed to be happier, although we didn't speak to each other much. It wasn't personal, we just hadn't found the means to get together. And he wasn't just being distant with just myself, he had also spent less time with Cho Chang. They didn't hold hands together in the hallways, they rarely ever hugged, and I never saw them kiss once. He must have been going through something hard, as it was unusual for him to be so cold towards the people he cared for. As I walked down from the Astronomy tower I finally ran into him. I gave him a hug, just to show that even though we hadn't spoken I was still there for him.
He smiled as he looked down at me, "I sure am glad I bumped into you."
My heart fluttered, I knew it was wrong for me to feel the way I do about Cedric when he has a girlfriend, who also happened to be my newest friend, but I couldn't help it.
"How are you feeling, you've seemed upset recently."
He bit his lip, "Just some personal stuff."
"Is it your mum?"
"No, it's not her. She's doing great actually, she says she's never felt better."
"I'm pleased to hear that!"
He took my hand, "So, I've been doing some thinking recently. There's something I have to tell you- at the party. Well, you said something about Cho and-"
"Speaking of which," I interrupted, "I spoke to her the other day and we got along really well, we're going to Hogsmeade together this weekend! Now, what was it that happened at the party?"
"You're friends now?" He asked, ignoring my question.
"Well, I guess you could say that. But seriously, what happened at the party?"
"Oh, nothing."
"Are you sure it's nothing Ced?"
"Of course it's not nothing! In fact it was everything to me, but you were too drunk to even remember it. I don't even know if what you said was true or not because you were so goddamn drunk!" He shouted, I jumped back at the surprise change in his tone.
"Calm down Cedric. Why are you so upset, why can't you just tell me what I said? Did I say something mean to you?"
He turned his back away from me and looked over his shoulder, "I wish you had."
He walked away. I had never been so confused in my life, I just wish I could find out what happened the night of the party.
It seemed like it took an eternity for the weekend to arrive, between all of my boy drama and loads of schoolwork it seemed like I was just barely able to make it past the week. In fact, this week might have been the craziest of my life. I got drunk at a party, woke up in Cedric's bed, made him upset with me for whatever reason, my dad got fired, I got in a fight with Draco, and I became friends with Cho Chang. It was almost as if the world had completely flipped upside down, I mean what was next- Professor Moody would turn out to be an imposter using a Polyjuice potion? It was absolutely insane.
I wore a mustard yellow long sleeve shirt, tucked into black dress pants, finished with a brown blazer over the outfit. I met up with Cho Chang outside of the platform for the Hogwarts express, it was a cold early March morning and she had a cup of tea in her hands, the hot air brushing over her face as she took a sip.
"Good morning Cho!"
"Good morning," She offered me a sip of her tea, I politely declined. I liked to be thirsty whenever I went to Hogsmeade, as it made the Butterbeer taste even better than normal.
