It started when Draco Malfoy walked in with his gang of Slytherins.

My fellow house members were a bit uneasy about the amount of people Draco had brought, not only because it meant we'd have a bit of a crowd, but because Hufflepuffs and Slytherins didn't tend to get along.  Having a large group of the two in one room was a recipe for disaster.

I pulled Draco to the side while his friends congregated in the corner, "Why did you bring so many people?"

"Sorry, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to.  You told me to bring Blaise if I wanted another Slytherin with me, and I thought it would be fine if I brought others as well."

"You didn't have to bring all of them!"

"The only people with me are Blaise, Pansy, Crabbe and Goyle.  It's not too many."

I sighed, it was no use arguing with Draco.  It's not like I could do anything about it at this point. Besides, a few extra partygoers never hurt anyone, right?

It seemed like the small crisis had been averted as the event continued on, we all waited patiently for Cedric to arrive.  Hannah told us that he was taking a bit because he had a lot of schoolwork to catch up on.  We decided to just start the festivities without him, and helped ourselves to some chip and dip.

After about 15 minutes or so Cho Chang arrived with her giddy girl group.

Now I began to worry, the common room was starting to get crowded, and we didn't want to get in trouble for causing too much ruckus.

"Cho, why did you bring all of your friends?!"  I shouted.

"Because it's a party!"

"It's not a party, it was supposed to be a get together."

Cho smirked, "Anywhere I go is a party."

I rolled my eyes as I left the conversation with Cho.  I decided it would be best to head back down to the kitchen to grab more food for the new guests.  I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that Cho Chang brought her little Ravenclaw clique with her.  She always had a way of making my life miserable, even at a party.

I returned with a cheese platter that the house elves curated for me in return for some help in washing the dishes from last night's feast.  As I walked in, Harry Potter trailed behind me, his friends Ron and Hermione following him.  I was glad that at least Harry has kept his word to not bring too many people.

Harry waved to me, and I responded with a friendly smile.  I wanted him to know how grateful I was that he had only brought his two friends, unlike the others.  However, that feeling of gratitude vanished when I saw a young red haired girl walk in the room.  I assumed she was a Weasley, as they made up most of the redhead population at school.  After the girl, Neville Longbottom came in, and then Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnigan.  Every time I thought that the Gryffindors would stop coming, they flooded in some more.  The last two to arrive were Fred and George Weasley, liquor in each of their hands.

"Who's ready to party?!"  They shouted.

I seemed to be the only one concerned about this, as all of the other students cheered when they saw the booze in the twins' hands.

I decided that it was no use to try and control everyone at this point, so I joined in and grabbed a cup of beer.  Everyone chatted amongst themselves, however all noise came to a halt when Cedric came down from his dormitory.  He paused for a moment and everyone clapped, congratulating him on his first place victory.  Draco and I were the only ones to not participate, as we gave Cedric evil glares.  When the applause stopped the party commenced once more. I watched Cedric grab Cho and take her to the corner of the room.  They sat together, holding hands and pecking each other on the cheeks, which slowly turned into regular lip kissing.
