A/N: WARNING! This chapter has a heavy emphasis on bullying and I know that can be triggering for some readers, so if you are sensitive to this subject I urge you to skim through/skip this chapter.
I hadn't spoken to anyone for weeks. I spent the entire month of March alone, it was the most awful period of time in my life. I was constantly harassed by students, I had lewd drawings thrown at me during class, and I was nicknamed 'Huffleslut'. Not even Hannah would speak to me, she didn't participate in the tormenting but she knew that if she was friendly with me her social status would decline. I didn't care about her anyways, it just sucked that I went from having so many friends at Hogwarts to having none at all. I counted the days until March was over. I knew that when April began life wouldn't be better at all, but I pretended it would just so I could have something to look forward to.
On the 31st of March I walked back from my last class of the day to the common room.
"Hey guys look it's the Huffleslut!" A student who I didn't even know called out. The other students around snickered as I lowered my head and walked faster.
As I was about to enter the common room, an arm grabbed my shoulder.
"Can you please just stop it? I'm honestly sick of everything and I just want to rest. You can pick on me later."
"Sorry love, but unfortunately we're not here to bully you."
I turned around, and to my surprise it was the Weasley twins standing behind me. I was relieved, as I did not have the energy to deal with any other students.
"We want to invite you to our birthday party tomorrow, we're actually going to be turning 17."
"You want me at a party?" I was shocked at this request, it had been so long since anyone wanted to even speak with me.
Their expressions morphed from excitement to guilt.
"Fred," George said turning to his brother, "We can't do this."
"Merlin no, it's not worth any of the galleons."
I grew suspicious, "What are you two plotting at?"
George gulped, "The truth is that Cho Chang asked us to invite you so she could humiliate you at the party. We would've never agreed but she offered us 50 galleons!"
My jaw dropped, Cho was seriously willing to spend all of that money just to ridicule me?
"We're so sorry, we feel awful." Fred said.
"It's fine. I want to go."
Their eyes both widened, "You do?"
"Yes. If Cho wants to make fun of me, I don't care. I'm used to it. I just need a night out, there's going to be beer right?"
George laughed, "After the last party? No way."
"Whatever, I'm still coming."
The twins looked uneasy, and I could tell by their expression that whatever Cho had planned out for me was going to be worse than ever before.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive."
I was not going to live in fear of Cho Chang, if she wanted to say something about me, she'd have to say it to my face.
Maybe then Cedric could see how vile she was after all.
The next day I went with Fred and George to find the Room of Requirement, where the party would be held. After our last event, teachers kept a close eye on students to make sure they weren't going to each other's common rooms. However, Fred and George said that this room was so well hidden that not even the teachers would be able to find them, and although I had no reason to believe them, I still did.
