Year 6 (Part One)
I woke up at the Weasley Burrow the night after Harry had arrived. Everyone else was awake to greet him at the time, but I was especially tired. Summer with the Weasley's had proven to be a lot more entertaining than I first assumed. I spent quite a lot of time with Ginny, as well as the other Weasleys. Fleur Delacour was also staying with us, as she was engaged to Bill Weasley. She gave me a tight hug when I first saw her.
"Eet has been so long! I'm so sorry about everything, I will never forget ze night when poor Cedric-"
She began to sob as I gave her a pat on the back. I didn't think she meant any harm, but it was still a very touchy subject. I rarely ever spoke about Cedric's loss, and I barely even knew Fleur.
The Weasleys were just about as much as a fan of Fleur as I was. For different reasons of course, Fleur seemed to just bug them, however I wouldn't have cared for her too much if it weren't for the fact that she would talk about Cedric every time she saw me.
"Aww, you are wearing yellow, ze color of Cedric!" She exclaimed when she saw me in my old Quidditch t-shirt.
I made sure not to wear yellow in front of her again.
Ginny gave her the nickname "Phlegm", which I was not pleased about.
"You don't even have a reason to like her!" I complained, "At least she's not mentioning your dead boyfriend all of the time!"
"She's annoying!" Ginny whined.
Hermione would visit the Burrow quite often as well, and she shared the same views as Ginny.
"She's a certified idiot. I have no idea how Mrs. Weasley can stand her." She scoffed.
It was a difficult summer with Fleur around, she was a constant reminder of Cedric's death, but I managed to make it through it. School was starting soon, and I'd finally have an escape.
"They're here!" Hermione screamed, "The O.W.L results!"
Our owls flew down, each with a letter in their hand. We were quick to tear them open and scan them.
Ron peered over Hermione and I's shoulders, "Of course the two of you got all O's!"
"That's not true, I got an E in Defense of the Dark Arts." Hermione groaned, disappointed in herself, "I have no idea how you actually managed to get all O's, though." Hermione said to me.
"It's the power of love." Harry mocked, "I think I might need some of that, look at my History of Magic score!" He said, showing me a large D on his paper.
"It is not the power of love! I didn't do anything last year other than study, what's your excuse Potter?"
Harry gave me a sarcastic grin, "You're right, it's not like I spent the entire year trying to not be killed by the Dark Lord."
"Well, that's going to make two of us this year." I said.
"Maybe then you'll finally get something lower than an O." He laughed.
"I doubt it, the power of love is too strong."
Everyone rolled their eyes as we got seated for breakfast. We got ready to go to Diagon Alley, I was especially excited to see Fred and George Weasley's new store. Right as I was about to leave through the door, I felt a tug on my shoulder.
"And just where do you think you're going?" Mrs. Weasley asked.
"Diagon Alley." I said matter-of-factly.
