I paced around my dorm as I waited for Draco Malfoy to arrive.  I was all ready, dress on, hair done.  I only put on a bit of mascara because I knew that I'd be so nervous at the Malfoy Manor that I'd probably sweat my makeup off anyways.  What would I say to Lucius?  Draco begged me to just agree with everything he said, but this is the same man who took my father's job away.  I didn't know whether or not I'd be able to control myself, but for Draco I knew I had to try my best to.

Hannah walked inside, interrupting my state of panic.

"Malfoy's outside."

"Right."  I nodded as I headed downstairs and into the common room.

Draco smiled, although it seemed like he was a bit nervous as well.

"Good evening."  He said, extending his arm towards myself.

I hooked my arm onto his, "Happy belated birthday, Malfoy."

"Now remember; you are my girlfriend, and you have been the entire year.  You're in Slytherin, and you must agree with everything my father says."

"Got it.  But, what if your father says that the Tutshill Tornados are better than the Chudley Cannons?  There's no way I'll be able to agree with that."

Draco laughed, "Don't worry, my family loves the Cannons."

"Then we're all good."

We walked outside, accompanied by Professor McGonagall who made sure we made it safely into the carriage.  It was luxurious. I knew Draco was rich, but I didn't know he was that rich.  The seats were coated with satin, and there were refreshments in the back as well.  Not to mention the intimidating Hippogriffs who pulled the car.

"I told them not to bring Hippogriffs!"  Malfoy complained, "I hate those things!"

"Poor Malfoy, his private carriage has the wrong animal pulling it.  How tragic."

He grunted as I snickered at my own joke.

I looked down to see his hands trembling, "What's the matter?"  I asked.

"It's been a while since I've seen my father.  I was starting to get used to life without him."

I grew concerned, "Is he mistreating you?"

"No.  Not like that.  It's just a lot of pressure being around him."

"I get it," I said, taking his hand, "I'm quite nervous as well."

"I'm glad you're with me."  He smiled.

Draco was rarely ever this vulnerable, so seeing him right now I knew that he needed me to be there for him as a friend.  And I would do whatever it took to do so, even if it meant having to be pleasant to the man who almost destroyed my family.

It wasn't long before we reached the tall dark hedges leading to the gate of the Malfoy Manor.  The biggest house I'd been to in my lifetime was my aunt's (the one who gifted me the dress I was wearing), which was two stories high and had seven rooms.  However, the Malfoy Manor made it look like a small little shack.  I thought I was looking at a palace.

"Your house is huge!"  I exclaimed.

"I know."  Draco bragged, which I replied to by jabbing him in the arm.

The carriage slowly came to a halt, and Draco stepped out and helped me get off.

The closer I got to the mansion the larger it became, I felt so small compared to it.  The doors were about ten feet tall and opened at the sound of Draco and I's footsteps.
