The days before the final task flew by. With only a day left, the excitement and anxiety of the upcoming event filled the school. Everyone seemed to be on the edge, including myself. Harry and I had not spoken in quite a while, so I could only assume that there was no new information about Barty Crouch. I trusted Dumbledore's judgement, I was sure that everything would be fine. I still had reason to be worried, just because Cedric wasn't going to be attacked by Barty Crouch didn't mean there weren't any other dangers waiting for him in the maze. I just hoped he would set his pride aside and stay safe.
"What's got you looking so nervous?" Draco asked me after Transfiguration, "Actually forget that, I know exactly why. It's pretty-boy Diggory, isn't it."
I chuckled, "Am I really that predictable?"
He shrugged.
"It's just that he said he wanted to give me something tonight and I have no idea what to expect."
Draco's eyes widened and I felt my face get hot, "No!" I shouted, "Stop it, you're so disgusting!"
"I didn't say anything!" He protested.
"You didn't have to!"
"I guess this is pretty-boy Diggory we are talking about. That man is about as innocent as they come."
"Oh piss off."
Draco smirked as he walked away to his next class. I rolled my eyes, what a crude conversation.
As I roamed the hallways I took a moment to reflect on everything that had happened this year. It was unbelievable to think that it was about to come to an end. I was more than ready to go home and do nothing all summer.
I only had a day left to go.

The moon shone brightly in the night sky. It was a full moon. In Divination we learned that a full moon would heighten the senses, and make you feel things more thoroughly.
It was 11:50. I was still in my dorm finishing up History of Magic work when I checked the time. I immediately got up and sprinted outside. The clock tower was almost all the way across the school. I regretted not bringing a coat, my dorm had been very warm due to the openly lit fireplace, but as I stepped outside the cold air left me freezing. I was also wearing a pair of pajama shorts with a crop top, which did not help one bit.
I was out of breath when I reached the tower, and I didn't need to look at the enormous clock to know that I was indeed, very late.
In the distance I spotted Cedric's silhouette, "You're twenty minutes late."
"I'm so sorry Ced, I lost track of time."
He turned to see me, I looked apprehensive and I was shivering like mad.
He rolled his eyes, trying to contain a smile, "You wore that and didn't expect to be cold?"
"If I would have gone back and changed I would have been even later."
He took off his sweater, leaving himself in a white button up with his Hufflepuff tie.
"Here, take this." He handed me the sweater.
"Thanks." I muttered as I put the sweater on. It was much too large for myself, but it kept me warm so I didn't complain.
"So, you want to see this?" He asked, as he pulled out a piece of paper from his back pocket.
"Yes!" I answered, a bit too enthusiastically.
He looked out into the night sky, a drop of sweat falling down his forehead. He undid his tie and let it flow in the wind. I could tell he was incredibly nervous.
