Lisa's POV

"Lisayah! I'm leaving!" Jisoo's loud voice jolted me awake, echoing through the threshold. I groggily yelled back, thinking she'd left, but I heard the heavy thump of her heels returning.

"Lisayah! Please look after Dalgom!" she yelled again. I didn't answer because, first of all, Dalgom hates me. He barks incessantly whenever I try to get near him.

"LISA?! DID YOU HEAR ME?" Her shrill, piercing voice made me clasp my eyes shut. "LISA?! LALISA?!!!" Unable to take it anymore, I jumped out of bed and met her at the door.

"Unnie, I heard you the first time! Okay?!"

She smiled. "I thought you didn't." She timidly flashed me a peace sign. "But I'm serious, Lisa. Look after my son!" she ordered seriously.

"Yeah, I will," I replied nonchalantly, which made her grow more serious.

"Yah! I know how your dogs bully others! So you better not take your eyes off them." Just then, Dalgom ran past us, chased by Kuma. I was surprised to see him and even happier to see Kai lounging on the couch.

"Yah!!! That's what I'm talking about! Look!!!" Jisoo hissed, pointing at her dog, who kept running away from Kuma.

"Why are they here?" I asked, worried. When Kuma and Dalgom ran back towards us, Jisoo quickly picked up her dog to protect him from Kuma. "Jennie sent them," she said, struggling to keep her dog away.

"Unnie, Kuma is a good boy. You don't have to worry." She gave me a death glare, so before she could lay a hand on me, I added, "I promise I'll take care of Dalgom, I swear!" She kissed her dog several times before dropping him on the ground, at which point Kuma started chasing him again.

Jisoo let out a deep sigh, looking at her dog. "Kuma literally looks like you, Lisa."

The way she treated her dog was the same as how we treated ours at home. They were like our real kids, keeping us company whenever we felt down and lonely. Jisoo loved our dogs and cats too, except when she had to leave her beloved dog with Kuma.

"I have to go now. Jeez! I'm late," she said, hurrying to her car.

I saw Kai still lounging on the couch, so I walked closer and sat beside him. "Hi, Kaiyah! Did you miss me? 'Cause Mommy Lisa did," I said, petting him. I giggled when his ears relaxed, showing he enjoyed the attention.

A loud bark from Dalgom made me get up and run to the living room. "Kuku! Stop now!" I lifted Dalgom and brought him to the couch where Kai was. I laughed when Kuma came next to him. To my relief, they were behaving now.

"Stay here, you guys. I'll go get your food," I said, bringing Kai with me and leaving Kuma with Dalgom.

While I was preparing their food, I heard Dalgom bark again. I hurriedly poured their food, not minding how much I put, and went back with Kai still in my arms. I saw Kuma chasing the poor Dalgomie around the living room again.
