Lisa's POV:

Waking up from a deep sleep, I felt stuck in a scary dream, like I was in a weird world where nothing felt real. I felt like problems weighing me down, tearing me apart inside. My heart felt broken and scattered, like pieces of glass, longing for comfort and relief from the never-ending pain.

Summoning what little strength remained within me, I rose from the cocoon of my bed, concealing the heaviness within me. This pretense, not for my own sake, but for the precious souls of Jisoo, Bambam, and Seulgi—my steadfast companions whom I cherished beyond measure. Their innocence, their purity, I promised to shield them from the storm of my sadness.

"Breakfast is ready!" Seulgi's voice pierced the silence, A one of my sources of comfort in the midst of my loneliness. With a tender smile, she presented a plate of her cooked dish.

"And there's plenty of chicken," Jisoo chimed in, Her being there eased my tired soul as she set the said dishes on the table.

Bambam, who's always cheerful, he waved around a pitcher of orange juice with dramatic flair. "And here's some orange juice to prevent any choking mishaps!" he proclaimed, a playful glint in his eye.

I observed quietly as they tried to lift the sadness that surrounded me, their kind actions wrapping me in a blanket of love despite my broken heart. How could I not feel touched by the efforts they are willing to do just to make me feel better? How could I not appreciate the brightness they brought into my darkest moments?

As we ate together, silence hung in the air, with occasional laughter breaking through the somber atmosphere. But underneath the surface cheer, a deep silence spoke volumes about the heavy emotions i was carrying.

"I have to head home," I murmured, feeling the weight of my words. Their concerned gazes pierced through me.

"I'll be fine," I assured them, managing a weak smile.

With a mix of emotions, they reluctantly agreed, their expressions showing. As we said our goodbyes, exchanging glances and a whispered promise to stay watchful.

As I navigated the roads through the house, hoping not to see her at home, my mind drifted to the comforting thought of my pets beside me instead of her. However, reality swiftly shattered that hope as soon as I reached my destination. Upon opening the door, there she stood, an unexpected interruption to my solitude. Stepping past her, our shoulders grazed each other, igniting a mix of discomfort and irritation within me.

Then, to my surprise, she reached out and gently grabbed my hand. A deep-seated pain resurfaced, intensifying with each second her hand lingered in mine. It felt as though her touch was searing my skin, adding to the already unbearable weight of my emotions.

In a moment of desperation and frustration, I jerked my hand away from hers, the action more forceful than intended.

"Let's talk please," she pleaded, her voice tinged with desperation. The sight was almost comical. Jennie Kim, begging for attention? My attention? It seemed utterly ridiculous. If I were still the same naive Lisa, perhaps I would have already given in. But now, I couldn't help but feel a surge of indignation and resentment towards her.

'Your wife helped me to get your shitty shop'

As I gazed at Jennie's face, Kai's words flooded my mind. I vividly recalled the pride in his voice as he recounted how this very person standing right in front of me helped him. It stung, fueling a surge of intense dislike towards her.

I despised her.

Truly, deeply despised her.

I found myself unable to resist the overpowering surge of anger coursing through me, as if my actions were dictated solely by its fiery grip. Without hesitation, I seized Jennie by the arm and pulled her forcefully outside, compelling her to enter my car. she complied without protest, her silence only adding to the tension thickening the air between us.

As I drove, my focus fixed ahead, I could feel her eyes on me, her silent presence suffocating. The weight of her presence in my car felt oppressive, suffocating me with each passing moment.

But I knew I had to put an end to this.

Despite the silence, I could sense her restlessness, her unease palpable even in the confined space of the car. It didn't take long for her to realize where we were headed.

I turned off the engine as I parked in front of my Dad's house.

As we stood in the elevator, I caught a glimpse of her reflection on the polished doors. She appeared even more anxious, her nervous energy manifesting in fidgety movements and vacant stares into space. Finally, the elevator doors opened, revealing my dad's office at his home. It seemed luck was on her side, as her own father was also present.

"L-Lisa..." Jennie's voice quivered as she grabbed hold of my hem, halting my movement to step out of the elevator. I remained still, allowing her to remove her hand herself. Our fathers were already looking at us.

"Jennie, Lisa? What are you doing here?" Mr. Kim inquired, while my dad patiently awaited our response.

I approached them, allowing Jennie's hand to naturally release its grip on my shirt. With a sense of reverence, I bowed my head respectfully in greeting. Their confusion only deepened as I then knelt down.

"We're going to file for divorce."

"I want to let her go."

"I cheated on her multiple times."

A heavy palm landed on my cheek with force, causing my head to violently whip to the side. I collapsed to the floor from the force of the impact, tasting the metallic tang of blood flowing from my lips.

Lies...

I returned to my knees, feeling the scorching intensity of my father's gaze, burning with fury and disappointment.

It was a moment of shock and disbelief, realizing that this was the first time my dad had ever laid his hand on me...
