A month had passed, and a relationship had blossomed between Jennie and Kai since his return to Korea. They went on dates, exchanged phone calls and messages, and now wouldn't expect to end up in the same restaurant where Lisa would go.
"How about... let's go to Paris?" Kai suggested, his eyes sparkling with excitement, but Jennie seemed doubtful of his idea.
"Kai, I'm not sure if I can, though," she softly declined, reaching for his hand.
"Why? You should at least give yourself a break," he persisted, but Jennie shook her head.
"I'm a CEO, Kai. I can't just leave whenever I want to," Jennie explained, but Kai continued to try to convince her. Jennie listened attentively, but her attention was suddenly diverted when she spotted two people entering the restaurant. Her annoyance grew as she observed the shorter one saying something that made her wife laugh. Yes, it was Lisa and Mina.
"Babe? Hey?" Kai snapped his fingers to get her attention back, and Jennie quickly refocused her gaze on him.
"What are you looking at?" She almost forgot she was with Kai and that Lisa might catch them. She took his hand and was ready to pull him outside, but it was too late because when she turned to look at Lisa again, she was already looking at them, specifically at their hands. Jennie expected Lisa to run towards them and confront them, but she didn't. Instead, she just diverted her eyes with her shoulders drooping. Jennie felt guilty when she saw Lisa's recent happiness suddenly disappear.
"Let's go?" Kai gave Jennie a warm smile, to which she just nodded.

"hey, are you okay?" kai asked once again, holding her hand. They're now walking in the park when he noticed how silent jennie was since they left the restaurant. Jennie takes a deep breath and stops walking.
"i think..this isn't right" she said while looking at her shoes just to avoid an eye contact with him.
"no..of course not, there's nothing wrong, loving the person you love will never be wrong" he step closer to embrace her. "you were forced to marry her, and it's not bad to make yourself happy again" Jennie still struggling to figure out what is wrong to herself.
After how many hours of their strolling around the park, kai sent jennie in her home. Lisa wasn't home yet. She went to her room first to change her clothes until she heard the door open indicating that lisa had arrived. She breathes multiple times before going out then there she saw lisa sitting on the couch while petting leo on her lap. She intentionally walk past to her but the latter seems not in a mood, not even glance at her. She didn't even know what came in her when she was the first one to initiate the conversation.
"Change your clothes first before touching them," Jennie blurted out, immediately regretting her words thinking it sounds like an insult. She felt nervous as soon as she heard Lisa chuckle with bitterness. Lisa gave her cat a kiss before putting it down.
"Is that how dirty you think I am?" Lisa said, while brushing off Leo's fur left on her lap.
"What I'm trying to say is..." She faltered, unable to find the words she needed. Lisa turned to Jennie, her expression weary. "Look, I'm sorry, but I just don't have the energy to argue with you right now," she said.
Jennie could only watch as Lisa, towering over her and visibly exhausted, but refused to let Lisa retreat, provoking her further by speaking again. "What made you exhausted? Your flirty hours with that girl?" she taunted.
Lisa turned wearily to face her once more. "Me?" she said incredulously, taken aback by what she was hearing. Jennie seemed unprepared for Lisa's scoff.
