Chapter 16: He Found Out

[ Sakura POV ]
I knew they came back from wherever they went but I didn't expect Naruto to make contact. Sasuke has never carried me that way. That bastard's going to drug my Sasuke again.
"What are you doing here Sakura"
"I can walk in and out of here as I please"
I put my hand on my chest,
"I'm your girlfriend"
"Hn"
He sat down on the couch in front of me,
"What are you doing here"
I sat next to Sasuke and held onto his arm,
"Don't you remember"
I squeezed his arm,
"It's our anniversary"
"Sakura"
"Yes Sasuke-kun"
He was looking at me now,
"Who is Naruto"
He want to know about that loser when me, his girlfriend, is right next to him. Naruto already did something to my Sasuke.
"He's a freak, a loser-"
"Who is he"
You don't need to know anything about that loser anyway Sasuke because he's a deadman.
"I used to work with him, that's it"
The only thing I have to do is keep my Sasuke away from Naruto for a few months. After that Sasuke will only look at me.
"Have I meet him before"
He keeps asking about Naruto and it's pissing me off.
"Why are you so interested in him when you've got me"
"Sakura"
Why is he asking about him? It's our anniversary he should only be think about me but he's not. He's thinking about that loser. It doesn't because soon enough...
"...he's going to be dead"
"What"
I had gotten up and said that aloud.
"Why worry about a deadman? He already has one foot in his grave so forget about him. All you have to do is focus on me Sasuke-kun"
Saskue pulled his phone out and started scrolling.
"Sasuke"
He didn't answer and kept scrolling.
"Sasu-"
He looked up at me,
"Your annoying Sakura, shut up"
He told me to shut up.

[ Sasuke POV ]
I remember seeing a contact I didn't know on here. I kept scrolling though my numbers until I found it. I called the person called Caretaker. I put the phone to my ear and listened for the person to pick up. The call went to voicemail. I called them again,
"Sasuke pay attention to me"
"Get out Sakura"
"But Sasuke today's-"
"I never loved you Sakura"
"But Sasuke-"
"We're over so get out"
I felt he grip loosen. I watched as she walked to the door and left.

The person never answered so I decided to call the other number. I called for the third time and someone finally answered.
"Hello, how can I help you"
The person who answered was a girl. It's the same number so he should be here.
"I want to talk to Naruto"
"The boss isn't in the office at the moment is there something else I can help you with"
"I would appreciate it if you told him Sasuke Uchiha called"
"May I have your phone number"
I told her my phone number,
"I'll tell him as soon as he gets here"
The women on the other side of the phone hung up.

[ Naruto POV ]
I should get up and start with the paperwork sitting on the office. I got up from my bed and walked to the office. I opened the door and saw the stacks of paper on my desk,
"Looks like I have to make some phone calls"

I had one stack paper left on my desk. I picked up the last paper in the second stack,
"Looks like it's another debt call"
I picked up the phone and dialed the number. It took awhile but the phone was answered,
"Hello"
"Victor Thomas"
"B-boss"
"I've been wondering..."
I paused for a second,
"...where's that 4 million is"
"W-well..."
"I haven't seen it in the bank account"
"I don't have it yet"
"What"
The voice was getting quieter,
"I-I don't have it"
"You wouldn't mind if you went missing for a little while"
"I-I promise to have it next month"
"Make that three weeks"
"I-I can't-"
"I gave you a deadline and you are going to follow it"
I hung up and laid my head on the desk. I grabbed the first paper on the last stack. There was a note on top of it,
"Sasuke Uchiha called"
I sighed,
"That's how I ended up at his house"
I picked up the work phone and dialed the number on the paper. I the phone to my ear and listened to the ring. The phone went to the voicemail.

[ Saskue POV ]
I scrolled though my miss calls and most of them where Sakura. There was one that wasn't from her. I realized the the one call was from the number I called yesterday. I clicked on the number and the call was picked up at the second ring.
"Hello"
"Is this Naruto"
"Make it quick Uchiha"
"Your going to die, aren't you"
"So that's the rumor going around. It seems like there was something in calling you"
"Is it true"
"What you heard where rumors and nothing more. Don't call this line is for not for personal use so please don't call it again"
Naruto hung up on me. He told me that it was just a rumor but with his condition it might be true.
