Chapter 21: Assasination

[ Third Person POV ]
Everyone that was on a job came back home with an extra items they didn't have when they left.
"Money on the dining table"
Everyone placed the items they brought with them on the table.
"Ino find out what the key unlocks and someone open the safe without destroying the contents"
Naruto slid the key in Ino's direction.
"I'll so what I can"
"People how have an assassination job tonight get some rest"
Naruto stood up,
"We understand"
"Good"
Naruto started walking back to his room.
"Maybe I should go back to studying"

[ Naruto POV ]
I was reading a book in my room when there was a knock to the door.
"Come in"
I looked at the door and saw Kurama open the door.
"Do you need something Kurama"
"There's food on the table"
"Thank you but I'm not eating right now"
"You didn't eat breakfast or lunch so your eating going to eat dinner"
"I told you that I'll eat later"
"Alright"
Kurama closed the door and I heard his footsteps fade away. I laid down on my bed and placed the book over my face.
"I'll eat later"
I closed my eyes and looked into darkness.

Someone knocked on my door,
"Come in"
I heard the door open and footsteps walk into the room.
"What do you need"
"Can you come sit at the dining table"
It looks like Neji walked into my room.
"I'm not hungry"
"We can't eat without you there"
"I'm coming"
I heard Neji's footsteps as he walked toward the dining room. I lifted the book from my face and sat up. I got out of my bed, walked out of my room, and headed towards the dining room.

I was in a chair and was poking at my food. I put my chopsticks down,
"I'm finished"
Kurama looked at me,
"Your going to eat everything on that plate"
I sighed and looked down at the plate that was filled with food. I picked up my chopsticks and started eating slowly.

I put another spoon of soup in my mouth and started coughing. I had to talk between coughs,
"Pass me..."
"...some water"
Shikamaru poured some water into my empty cup. I grabbed the cup and put the cup to my mouth. My hand was shaking causing the cup fell out of my hands. The cup fell on the table and the water spilled out. I covered my mouth with my hand hand while I was coughing. I stoped coughing and looked at my hand. I thought this was just a myth.
I stood up from the table,
"Please excuse me"
I rushed out of the room heading outside.

I was sitting at the edge of the roof of the tallest building. I looked down at my hand that was stained with my own blood. Laying on top of the blood was a crushed flower.
'We don't have much time left'
"It's you who doesn't have enough time"
'Why don't you let go of not wanting to be a burden'
"I can't let it go"
'Then ask for help'
"That's the problem. Helping means being a burden to someone"
'We're going to die'
"All you have to do is help him remember everything"
'I don't have enough time'
"We don't have enough time, it's you who doesn't have time. You want to live so bad than find a way to live yourself"
'I can't live because of you'
"Than go to another body and forget everything again"
'I can't do that if the body is still alive'
"Than kill me yourself"
'That's suicide'
I stood up at the end of the building,
"Than I'll do it"
I looked down,
"You want this body to die so much I'll do it for you. I'll commit suicide right here"
'Can you really do that'
I didn't respond. I just kept staring down looking at how far the ground was.
'Can you'
I sat back at the ledge of the building,
"I still have something's to do"
I took a deep breath,
"I'll be staying here for a while"
'Make sure to tell Kurama'
I rubbed the back of my head,
"That's a problem, I forgot to bring my phone with me"
'Stupid'

[ Neji POV ]
I knocked on the door to Naruto's room but no one answered. I knocked again but there still was no answer.
"Excuse me"
I opened the door and looked around the room.
"He's not here"
I opened the bathroom door,
"Not here either"
I closed both doors and stared walking to the living room.
"Just when I think he's become responsible he disappears at a time like this"
I reached the living room where everyone who had another job stood. Kurama was there as well,
"Where is he"
"Gone"
"What"
"He disappeared again"
"That idiot"
"Who's going to complete his jobs"
Sai's right. He took on two different assassinations and if he's not here we're going to have to divide them up. The problem is the information that Naruto gathered. None of us know anything about the targets.
"Don't worry about it"
"How can I not worry? Our idiot boss is gone and he has a job to complete"
"All of you should know where to find him. He is your boss after all"
When he's at school we can always find him on the roof of the tallest building. He's likely not at the school because there's a chance he could run into the Uchiha. From the way he acted at dinner Naruto wouldn't want to be around anyone he knows. The city is filled with people and it's easy to lose someone in the crowd there. He's sitting on the roof of the tallest building in the city.
"I know where he is"
Kurama tossed me an instrument case,
"Give that you him"
I nodded,
"Okay"

If course he had to pick a business office. I bet he didn't even look at the sign when he went in here. I walked into the building and headed to the top without people noticing. I opened the rooftop door and saw Naruto sitting at the end of the roof.
"Idiot"
He turned his head to look at me,
"Neji your here"
I showed him the instrument case,
"You've got a job to do, boss"
"I forgot about that"
He stood up, walked closer, and grabbed the case.
"Did you happen to bring my phone as well"
"No"
He looked down at the case and examined it trying to find out what weapon was inside.
"Hey"
He looked up,
"Yeah"
"Make sure to finish the job"
"Yes sir"
I started walked to the door and started to open it.
"One more thing"
I turned around and faced Naruto again.
"Do you know what bulking this is"
He tilted his head,
"The tallest building in the city"
I knew he didn't notice the sign. I sighed,
"This building is the Uchiha Company's main building"
I turned back and walked into the building. I could hear Naruto yelling my name from the roof. I put head down and shook my head.
"He's such an idiot"
"Who"
You better find another way out the building Naruto this way is blocked. I looked up,
"Nice to see you again"

[ Naruto POV ]
I walked into the Uchiha Company. That means there's a larger possibility of running into Sasuke that at school.
'Warning target 3 has made contact with Neji'
Neji just walked into the building and he already came into contact.
'Neji has attempted to stall the target 3'
'Did it work'
'Target 3 will be stalled for approximately 3 minutes'
I laid the case down, opened it, and looked though the contents.
"There's got to be something in here"
'Neji has failed. Target 3 is moving closer'
I looked around to see if there was anything I could use.
'Target 3 is going to open the door in 3 seconds'
I've got to find a way up there. I closed the case, picked it up and, ran to the door.
'2'
I started climbing the wall to get above the door.
'1'
I laid down straight down on top of the doors roof.
'Target 3 is opening the door'
I heard the door open and I listened as the so called Sasuke walked around the roof.
'Target 3 is opening the door'
I stoped breathing while the door was opening. I felt a cough coming up my throat but I held it down. I heard the door closed and I started coughing.
'Warning target 3 is turning around'
Shit, shit, shit, shit. I rolled to the edge of the small platform and left a ladder. I climbed the ladder and hid behind the door. I suppressed the coughs as I heard the door open and some footsteps.
'Target 3 is entering the building again'
I heard the door close again and walked to the edge of the roof. I looked around at the surrounding buildings.
"That's the hotel both of my targets are in"
'Correct'
At lease I got something out of this. I looked at my clothes,
"Still wearing my work clothes"
I opened the case, found my mask in, and put it on. I took out the sniper pieces and started to assemble the gun.
"Looks like Kurama packed a silencer"
I attached the silencer and inserted two bullets into the holder inserted the holder into the gun. I laid down on the roof and looked though the scope searching for the targets in the building. I found one target entering his room and another walking though the hallway.
"I'll take the second target out first"
I pulled the trigger and the bullet hit the target in the hallway.
"Next"
I emptied the chamber and looked to the other target. I located the first target, pulled the trigger, and the target was eliminated.
"Both were clean head shots"
I sat up and started dissembling the sniper. I placed the gun parts in the case like I had found them and closed the case.
"Who knew assassinations could be calming"
I stood up,
"Now how will I get home"
