The walk was only about ten minutes and our arms stayed linked the entire time. We spoke of anything that came to mind and we were both laughing constantly. When we finally arrived at his house, I could smell the aroma of the food from outside.

"That smells so good, I am so hungry," I said, practically salivating as we moved up his driveway together.

"That's good, my mom made a ton of food. We didn't know what you would like." He scratched the back of his neck as his face flushed slightly.

"I'll eat anything she makes, I'm so excited to meet her." He opened the door for me and I took off my shoes as his mom came out to the front door.

"You must be y/n, Asahi has spoken about you quite a bit." She winked at me as she held her arms open to me. He had her face. They definitely looked alike, however, she was somewhat small, Asahi must have gotten his largeness from his dad or something. She gave me a quick hug and led me inside while Asahi followed behind us.

"Does he really? He told me he never talks about me." I said mischievously while looking over my shoulder at him.

"He definitely lied, he has a lot to say about you all the time. You should have seen how nervous he was helping me co-"

"Ok, that's enough mom. Why don't we eat or something." Asahi's face was bright red while his mom and I laughed. We walked into the dining area and Asahi sat down.

"Let me help you bring the food in, Ms. Azumane."

"Sure dear, and please just call me Asami." She smiled at me before going to the kitchen. I moved behind her and grabbed whatever plates were there. She really did make a lot of food. There were only three of us. When we finally placed everything down, I sat down beside Asahi, while Asami-san sat across from us. We dished out our food and thanked her for the meal, then started eating.

"So I heard you play volleyball?" She questioned while picking up her chopsticks.

"Yeah, I used to play as the ace at my old school before I was injured," I responded.

"Are you going to start playing again? My son also told me you were really good." Asahi and I looked at each other, then both our faces turned red. Asami-san smirked.

"M-maybe. I planned to continue volleyball as far as I could maybe even play professionally but that changed during my last year. I could play in college based on my performance in my second year but I'm not sure."

"Wherever you end up, you'll be great. Asahi did mention you were smart as well."

"Mom!" Asahi was tomato red and my face was very warm. I did like hearing what he had to say about me though

"What else has he said." I smiled at her while nudging Asahi with my shoulder.

"Where do I even start? Besides saying you were smart and good at volleyball, he describes you as incredibly beau-"

"Mother!" Asahi hid his face in his hands while his mother laughed.

"Let me stop, you are very red right now, honey."

"Thanks, mom."

Dinner went really well. Asami's constant teasing and jokes had me blushing and laughing all night. She even sent me home with leftovers for my family.

"Please come by again, it was amazing meeting you, my dear." She gave me a hug and put the plastic bowls in my hands.

"You too, Asami-san. Thank you for having me and thank you for the food."
