Christmas Special: Special 3

Christmas is always a special time of year. Friends and family can surround you while you enjoy a huge meal to then open gifts around a beautifully lit-up Christmas Tree. It is a season of warmth and comfort despite the coldness outside. 

Or, that's what it would if Asahi didn't need to be in Milan, Italy.

Y/n was on her official break for volleyball and couldn't be happier about it. As happy as Christmas usually was, Nakano felt the stress of holiday spending and took it out on his team. This break was sorely needed. She was more than ready to return to Miyagi with her boyfriend, Asahi, and spend Christmas with their families. However, things don't always work out the way you want them to.

Being a famous fashion designer meant that work hardly ever stopped, especially around the season that people loved to spend money. He was pushing out dresses from his Winter collection and was asked to do a show in Italy. Of course, when he first heard the news, he was ecstatic. He had been to Italy a couple of times during his school years but this would be his first real show in a foreign country. That excitement quickly faded when he learned that this show would be held right after Christmas, as in, December 26. This meant that he needs to be in Milan for the entire week prepping for his show and meaning that he would miss spending Christmas with those he loved.

As exciting and lovely as Milan was, it didn't compare to spending the holidays with his girlfriend and their families after being apart for more than 5 years.

"I really wanted to spend Christmas with you." He sighed deeply while he was cuddled close to her. They were in his apartment, as per usual, and had just finished watching some movies. It was now late and they would soon drift off to sleep.

"I wanted to spend Christmas with you too, love. But I am really proud of you. A show in Milan? That's like, the fashion capital of the world and you were specifically requested for a show! That's amazing, Asahi." He sighed deeply again and buried his face into the crook of her neck while she played with his hair. He was just a big baby.

"Yeah, it is pretty impressive, huh?" She felt him smile and laugh slightly. They remained in silence for a while. Her hands were still in his hair and his hands were under her shirt, drawing small patterns on her skin.

"You know, I could just come to Italy with you," She suggested and she felt him freeze before he sat up quickly.

"You'd do that? Really?" She could see the excitement on his face.

"Of course I would, I love you." He didn't need to hear anything else and was quick to envelop her in his arms, kissing her face everywhere while declaring his love for her as well.

"Italy is so beautiful, Y/n. I've never been to Milan but we can do so much together, I promise. The first few days will be pretty busy but after the 26th, we can do whatever you want." It didn't take much to make him happy again. They went to bed that night making their plans for their trip to Italy.

It wasn't difficult to get a ticket on the same flight as Asahi. The company that was hosting him paid for a first-class ticket and he wanted Y/n there with him. When he requested a second ticket for his girlfriend who he wished to spend Christmas with, they were glad to give it to him.

Soon enough, she was packing her clothes along with Asahi and Yachi, who was actually heading back to Miyagi. The apartment was always empty during the holidays.

Asahi had closed his boutique for the holidays and all orders were put on hold until after he returned from Italy, which would also be after New Years' and his birthday. His staff was grateful for the break considering how hectic this year had been for everybody.
