(alright y'all, there is a lil 🍋 actually its lime but I don't think there is an emoji for that. You'll be warned before it comes up.)

The weeks flew by and it was getting closer and closer to Nationals. However, before nationals, there were two very important days that needed to be planned for, Daichi's and Asahi's birthdays.

With Daichi's birthday on the 31st of December and Asahi's birthday on the 1st of January, Suga, Kiyoko, and I had big plans for the two of them. Of course, there was the New Year to celebrate and I was joining the third-years on their annual visit to the shrine. However, this year would be a little different.

"So, what is the plan?" I was on Facetime with Kiyoko and Suga. A surprise party was in the works.

"I was thinking we could take them out for dinner then go back to someone's house?" Kiyoko suggested.

"That sounds nice. We can go to dinner with just us 5, then the team goes to someone's house, gets the party food ready and it's a surprise party! We can have a big-ass team sleepover. Or everyone can leave except the 5 of us and we have a third-year sleepover then we can go to the shrine together." I added excitedly. I watched the two of them nod.

"You're just doing it for all the food," Suga rolled his eyes as I nodded. "At least you're honest. But whose house though?"

"I could talk to Asami-san and my father. I don't think he'd mind having it at our house but Ryu and my father would need to be gone. I doubt they would want to stay for a party like this." I offered.

"Okay, let us know how it goes. We need to make the plans as soon as possible." Kiyoko responded before we all hung up. I Immediately skipped downstairs with a smile on my face. Before I went to my father, I prepared a cup of his favourite tea with a plate of biscuits.

"Hi daddy~," I said as sweetly as possible before placing the tea and cookies on the table in front of him. I sat beside him on the couch and kissed his cheek while he sat reading a book.

"What do you want and how much will it cost me." He didn't even look up at me.

"Well, that is presumptuous, father dearest. Can't I show my love and affection for the best dad in the world?" I asked batting my eyes slightly. He gave me a side glance.

"It's expensive, isn't it?"

"No! I don't need you to buy anything. I was just wondering if I could host a little birthday party for Asahi and Daichi? It would be a surprise party." I finally answered. He heaved a sigh before returning to his book.

"Do I want to be in a house filled with a bunch of teenagers over the New Year? Not really."

"See, this is where the important part is, father dearest. You and Ryu, maybe, perhaps, spend the night elsewhere!"

"And where would we stay?"

"A hotel, maybe Asami-san will spend New Years' with you two!"

"Have you spoken to Asami-san?"

"Nope, I was waiting for you to say yes first," I responded.

"Look who is presumptuous now."

"I'll cook all the meals in the house for a month after nationals if you say yes."

"I'm good."

"Two months?"

"Keep going."

"Three months and I'll stop threatening to beat up Ryu."

"Sold. Pleasure doing business with you, my dear daughter." He held out his hand for me to shake

"Same to you, old man. I'll tell you what Asami-san says." I shook his hand before getting up and stealing a cookie on the way.
