Third Person P.O.V
Asahi missed her immensely. It hadn't even been a day since she had left and he was ready to pack his bags and head up to Saitama. Daichi and Suga had laughed at him when he arrived at school. His head was hung low and his eyes were slightly sunken in.
"How are you this upset and it hasn't even been a day yet?" Suga asked.
"I don't know! We were even texting before I got to school and I miss her even more."
"Is this what it's like to be in love? If so, count me out. You will never catch me lacking like this." Daichi rolled his eyes before hitting the back of Suga's head, secretly hoping that was a joke.
"Leave him alone. I think it's great that you are so into each other." The three of them conversed for a bit before separating and heading off to their respective classes. Asahi stared at the empty desk beside him and heaved a large sigh. This week was going to be horrible.
He had decided to throw himself into volleyball and his designs to take his mind off of her. She was doing amazing things away from him and he wouldn't fall behind. He would prove himself to her and do his best in what he was good at.
He was spiking even harder than usual at practice. His jump serve was flawless and his receives were crisp. He found his eyes wandering as if he expected to see her there smiling at him with a thumbs up. When they went for breaks, he found himself waiting for her to wrap her arms around him from behind and hear her praises and her nickname for him. My love. It was as if that was his new name. It felt wrong to not have heard it all day. When he delivered an especially hard spike, his eyes swept the opposite court expecting her to receive it effortlessly and ask if that was all he had to offer.
He missed her so much. His muse, his precious gem. He felt a little pathetic. When practice ended, he found himself stopping in front of her house as he usually did when he dropped her off. He shook his head and trudged home. It wasn't as if they had broken up or she had left him forever, she was just training to better herself.
I need to snap out of this. Y/n wouldn't want to see me like this. Get it together.
He turned his attention to his designs. He had decided on the ones that she liked. They weren't too bad. He had put more effort into them as those were the first ones she looked at. He might as well make them a reality. With a few more finishing touches, he cleaned up the designs and was ready to get to work. He made his way to their basement where his 'work station' was. It wasn't much. There was a sewing machine, a few mannequins, a few long tables, and some scraps of fabric from his last project. He tapped up his designs, then went upstairs ready to go out. He needed to buy his materials.
The weather was rather nippy but he pushed through it as he walked towards the store that he typically buys his fabrics from.
"Hello, Asahi-Kun!" He heard the bright and cheerful voice of the store owner's daughter, Kojima Chiaki. She was in her last year of junior high but had been spending time assisting in the store since she was in elementary.
"Hi Chi-chan, how are you doing?" He asked politely as he greeted her. He has been coming to this store for years now. He was familiar with the small family and they both loved him.
"I'm great! You haven't come here for so long! Mom says it's probably because you have a girlfriend now and you've forgotten about us. Did I tell you I'm going to Karasuno next year? You have to look at these new fabrics! They are super pretty and they are all winter colours. Perfect!" Chiaki had a very short attention span and was always hopping onto a new conversation before the old one even finished.
