"Y/n-san, could I talk to you for a moment?" Ukai asked before we sat down for our meal. I followed him so we were farther from the table.
"What's up, coach?"
"Remember when I mentioned the new coach at Shinzen and how he wants to watch you play some more?" I nodded my head, waiting for him to get to the point. "Well, Shinzen didn't make the qualifiers so he wanted you to go to Saitama now for a week or so to practice with his team."
"Really? Yes! Tell him I say yes! Ukai-san you are the best!"
"Yeah, I know. Let's go eat now. You will be leaving on Monday. Speak with your father and Takeda about your excused absence." We walked back to the table to sit down.
"What was that about?" Suga asks. He was slightly distracted as he tried to shake the sleeping first and second years awake.
"I am going to Saitama on Monday. I'll be gone for a week."
"What, why? You aren't practicing with us anymore?" Daichi asked before turning to yell at the boys for their disrespect.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you guys, my bad. Ukai-san said he would ask around at the summer training camp to see if some coaches would train with me. He couldn't do it because he is working with you guys, plus he has the store and the farm. The new coach at Shinzen said that he wouldn't mind but he wants to see how I play first so that's why I am leaving." I sum up quickly for Daichi and Suga. I had already told Kiyoko.
"Wow, congratulations Y/n. I wish we could go with you, though. I like playing with you. Especially when you beat Asahi. It's humbling." Suga said happily, placing food in his bowl.
"I am always humbled!" Asahi cried out.
"Yes, you are, love. You are very humble." I pat his back lightly while trying to mask my laughter.
"Thank you!" Asahi picks at his food while we laugh at him quietly. We spend the rest of the meal laughing together and ranting about the match. During the meal, the five of us agreed to hang out at Asahi's house since his mother was working. We waved at the team as we left together.
"Why don't we all go home, change, then meet at Asahi's house?" Daichi suggested. "I want to shower and wear clothes that aren't covered in my sweat."
"Good idea, Daichi. Then, we can watch movies and maybe we can bake something together in celebration," I suggested.
"That sounds good to me. But we just went out to eat to celebrate our win, do we need to eat more in celebration?" Kiyoko asked.
"You can never deny desserts. Plus we need to specifically celebrate our wonderful third years." I responded. We all nodded before walking our separate ways.
"Don't forget to send the address, Asahi-san." He nodded at Kiyoko's words then grabbed my hand as we walked towards our respective houses.
"You played so well today. Your jump serves are really a sight to see. Not to mention your spikes. You are truly brilliant, my love." I squeezed his hand as we walked together.
"Thank you." He said shyly. His cheeks were red again.
"Your face turns a very pretty colour when you blush. A very deep red when you are especially flustered. Like a ruby or even a garnet or something." I watched as he flushed even more.
"You keep making me do that." He mumbled quietly. "You can't compare me to expensive gems and expect me not to blush." I smiled up at him before pulling him down and planting a kiss on his cheek.
"Why are you so cute?"
"Y/n, stop!" After some more relentless teasing, we reached my house. "Okay, you go home. I will see you soon. Don't forget to text Kiki-chan." He nodded at me, kissed my cheek and walking home. I went inside and called out for my family. I heard no response meaning they were probably still out.
