The Proposal

Jaime was scheduled to arrive in Kings Landing the following week . He was currently in Winterfell with Lady Brienne and Joanna but they were scheduled to stop by to see Tyrion after that . Jon was not sure if he was coming alone or with his family . He waited for these visits as did Tyrion , but the reason Jon waited was to find out about Winterfell , Bran and Sansa . Jaime was known to enjoy a bit too much Arbor Gold during his visits and he would frequently discuss details about Winterfell that he otherwise would not have found out .

When Jon had first returned from Winterfell and told Dany that Sansa would not marry him , Dany seemed relieved . He had not initially lied to Dany about his feelings for Sansa but he decided not to mention anything about the North or Sansa to her as their marriage had progressed . After her miscarriages Dany had become more sensitive and any mention of Sansa or Winterfell or the North would poison Dany's mood . Jon also did not want to hurt her so he tried to let that portion of his life go .
He still had his cape and all the clothes that Sansa had given him . He wore the clothes so often that they were threadbare now and since he had aged and put on weight they no longer fit .Jon had them pressed and put them back carefully in the box that Sansa had presented to him all those years ago , The cape was the only thing that fit , he treasured it . Dany never asked about where he got it and the clothes , and he never volunteered the information either .

Dany walked in the bedroom and interrupted his thoughts .

"'Jon do you know if Ser Jaime is bringing his family ? "

" No , I'm not sure .Why ?"

" Well it's just that Rae has been getting lonely and I thought if Joanna came she would have company ."

"Well why don't you have Rae send a raven to Joanna to invite her . I know Tyrion would be happy to have his neice here for awhile as well ."

" That's a good idea , I think I will ask her to do that ."

Dany came up behind Jon and hugged him . He turned around and hugged her as well. They had become less affectionate physically over the years , but he suspected that happened with all married couples . Maybe they both should try harder to reignite the spark .

" Will you be joining us for dinner? The cook made roasted ham ."

" Yes I will be there shortly ."
Jon dressed and went downstairs , he had had a reaction to the ham the few times cook had made it but he suspected that Dany had forgotten .He would just eat something else .

When he went to the dining hall , Dany, Rae , Tyrion , Shae and Jorah were there .

" I didn't know we were having company . "

" Well I wanted to discuss Ser Jaime's visit with Tyrion and Shae and I thought Jorah could join us ."

Jorah looks up , " Roasted ham my favorite ."

" I know , " Dany responds .

" Jaime is coming at the end of next week . I'm not sure of he is bringing Lady Brienne and Joanna or if they will be heading back to Casterly Rock after their visit to Winterfell , " Tyrion replies .

" They were to spend close to 6 weeks at Winterfell , I don't know if Lady Brienne would like Joanna to be away from Casterly Rock and her routine and her studies for longer than that . I'm not sure if they will be accompanying Jaime here ." Shae adds .

"Haven't they heard of tutors ? We have the best ones here for Rae , Joanna could be taught by them as well ." Dany states . " What on Earth would they do at Winterfell for that long . I'm sorry Jon but there is nothing there but snow and ice ."
