The Proposal

Wedded

Robb and Joanna were married . It was a beautiful wedding . They married under the heart tree . There was not at dry eye in the house .

Sansa was ecstatic and relieved that her only child married his love and that he would not be alone . She was happy she lived to see this day . The day was filled with love and gratitude .

Danearys and Oberyn attended the ceremony but decided to return to Kings Landing once the nuptials were over . Dany was gracious to Robb and Joanna and wished them well . She also extended an invitation for them to attend her wedding to Oberyn the following month . She seemed lighter and more free since her engagement to Oberyn .

Rae was beginning to feel more comfortable with her half brother . Jon came to know through Tyrion that Rae had commissioned a painting for Joanna and Rob after they returned from their honeymoon as a symbol of her affection to Joanna and her new found kinship to the future King in the North .  Jon was very heartened to know that his children seemed to be starting off in their relationship well .

Jon tried to apologize to Dany before she left , but she would have none of it . She did not want any type of relationship with him and wanted to communicate only about their daughter and matters concerning her . She held fast to the thought that Jon had cheated her of true love during the course of their marriage .
Jon was silent because he knew that was accurate .

Sansa was more joyful than she had been in years . She was also happy and relieved that not only had Robb gained a new wife , but that the relationship with Rae was cordial . She could not say that they were friends or even friendly , but there seemed to be hope that a good camaraderie could develop in the future . What more could she want ? Her child was happy and in no danger .

That night Sansa received a letter that Daenerys had left for her before her departure to Kings Landing . Sansa immediately had alarm bells go off in her head ; however , after reading it she drifted off into the most peaceful sleep she had had since Robb was born .

For Jon the day had been bittersweet . As it seemed that was the course his life was always destined to take . His son was a married man for that he was joyful .Jon sincerely hoped that Robb would be a better  husband than he had been with Daenerys .
His daughter was polite yet wanted to remain at a distance . She had told him that she was happy with how things were and it would take time to heal the rift that had developed between them . He was yet again grateful that Daenerys had not tried to come between him and Rae . He was not under any false illusions if Rae's mother had decided that she did not want Rae to have a relationship with him , then he was sure Rae would never speak to him again . She was her mothers daughter and his son was his mothers son . Thankfully for the most part the children seemed well adjusted .

The world seemed peaceful to him that night when he fell asleep .
