Vareen's Point of View

 "Don't worry Vareen, my only mission here is to get you all into safety, I assure that after this ay wala nang manggugulo sa inyo, not unless you dared na kalabanin si Papa. But, we only have one problem." I just really hope na matapos na ang lahat ng ito. Hindi ko alam kung saan ako maiiyak eh, if it's about their death, their plan to hurt or kill me, or the part na nakagawa sila ng mga bagay na alam kong hindi nila kayang gawin.

I guess, hindi lahat ng nakikita at pinapakita sa atin ay totoo. Na kahit ang mga magulang ko ay kaya palag gumawa ng mga ganoong bagay. I've always seen them at their best, they're actually the ones that could be trusted and I could always rely on. Lagi kong nakikita kung paano ang mabuting pakikitungo nila sa iba. Maybe, I just didn't saw their worst side, their worst side na hindi ko aakalaing ganoon ang mangyayari. 

Imagine being with them and seeing how they could be a good role model as a parents for how many years, hindi talaga pupwedeng paghinalaan eh, ang hirap pa din paniwalaan. Maybe, they just don't want me na mapalayo sa kanila kapag nalaman kong ganoon sila. They should've told me the truth, at least, or magbago muna sana bago pa mahuli ang lahat.

Pero wala na eh, it's all too late now. Too late because they were dead, too late because they won't have the chance to change and too late for me to forgive them. All of the sadness that I felt earlier faded out and all I can feel now is how furious I am. Kung ganito lang din naman pala ang mangyayari, hindi na lang sana sila nabuhay. Can you blame me? I also never wanted for things to go and be in this way. 

I thought that seeing them again after seven years ay magiging kumpleto na ulit kami. Makakasama na namin sila for the second way around. I never thought that they're already damned. 

Free trial lang pala yung kahapon, sana nilubos lubos ko na.

"What's the problem, Ramendez?" tanong ni Jayce sa kanya, sumama sa amin si Leon pabalik sa mansion nila Mama, my dead mom.

"Primero just outsmarted me. Primero is the one who helped your mom para maidala ka sa Puerto Princesa, you might recall him as the one who wears the black leather jacket." I nodded my head. Naalala ko nga siya, the last one I saw before I fell into a deep sleep.

"What's with Primero?"

"Papa's watcher. Fuck. Hindi din matino mag-isip ang isang 'yon. I should've killed him last night, fuck!"

"What the hell is wrong, Ramendez?" Lumapit na sa kanya si Oliver at Jayce, nanatili akong nakakapit sa braso ni Jayden, hinihintay ang sasabihin ni Leon. 

"Bullshit!" Kulang na lang ay ipagbabato na niya sa amin ang mga dagger niya. "Hindi niya ako naintindihan yesterday, I told him to stop what my father had ordered him at ako na ang bahala sa lahat. Hindi ko alam kung sinunod niya ako or what. Hangga't buhay pa siya, hindi pa kayo safe. We all need to warn everyone to go before it's too late." Akala ko ba safe na kami? Kailan ba kami makakahinga ng maluwag? Kinuha niya ang kanyang cellphone sa bulsa at may tinawagan, puro mura at sigaw lang ang naririnig namin mula sa kanya.
