the day at the job was exciting but exhausting. i met so many different people, made friends, & all. however, my feet left me. it was as if they were numb. i felt nothing in either one of them.

i stepped on the gas peddle of my car & drove home.

daniel ceaser's voice dripped from the radio & the sweetness of his vocals coated the car. his words were soothing to me, & his voice had me infatuated. i breathed in deeply, taking in all that happened today. i was content with how things were. the way things alinged. it was all too good to be true, but shidd i wasn't complaining. i leaned back & relaxed while strolling through the streets.

' ahhhh, ' i sighed throwing my keys inside the bowl beside the front door.

i flicked my heels off & pealed away the heavy jacket i had on.

i threw myself on the couch & closed my eyes. i almost forgot the feeling of coming home after a long day of work. but, not anymore. i smiled. it was nice to do something i love. & shit i deserve it. all those years getting rejected. my fashion pieces being thrown away right before my eyes, because the ceo was too picky.

i got up & grabbed my clutch of the dining room table taking out my phone.

i scrolled through instagram.

i quickly picked up, happy that my bestfriend finally called me.

' amriah bro i missed you & i'm sorry. ' i said right away.

' saint, i- i need you to come get me. ' she sounded exasperated & on the verge of tears.

' what happened? what chu mean? you alright? should i go to the link you sent? '

' yes yes saint, just please come get me.'

then the call line went dead.
