Shifty powers

Shifty was sitting with the boys eating dinner and talking about home and telling stories. Shifty was playing with his wedding ring that was on his finger and he couldn't help but miss you when we played with it.
None of the boys had noticed his wedding ring that he played with all the time but one of the boys noticed.
"Hey shifty what's that ring your playing with?" Skinny asked.
He looked up and the table went a little quite so they could here the shy sniper.
"It's uh it's my wedding ring" he said honestly.
"Wait your married shifty!" Bill asked and shifty just nodded looking down at his ring once again.
"Well go on shifty tell us about Ms Powers will you, is she gorgeous?" Luz asked him.
Shifty smiled when luz asked that question cause to him you were the most gorgeous girl in the whole wide world.
"Aww he's smiling, she must be gorgeous" Luz said again.
"She's the most gorgeous girl you'll ever see Luz. She just amazing" shifty said and all the guys smiled wide while listening to powers talk about his wife.
"Even been together since we were 16 and got married just before the war broke out" shifty continued.
"That's really nice Shifty. I'm happy for you" Grant said patting him on the back.
"Do you have a photo?" Skinny asked.
He nodded but then realised that the only photo he had of you two was one from your wedding day.. and he hadn't even told the guys he was also a dad to a little 2 year old girl. He decided to pull it out and show the guys anyway.
He gave it to Skinny first and everyone went around him to look and they all looked from the photo to shifty then back at the photo.
"Not only are you married but you are dad as well!" Someone said.
"Yeah I'm a dad" shifty said smiling
"You have two gorgeous girls Shifty" Bill said as he sat down.
"Thanks Bill they really are my whole life" he said to Bill.
"What are their names?" Bill asked
"My wife's name is Elizabeth but I call her Lizzie and my daughter is called Emily but I call her em for short"
"Aw they a lee both beautiful names" Grant said as he could see in the way shifty spoke about them that they were his whole world.
"Thanks chuck" he said
"Well when this stupid war is over I want to meet these two lovely ladies powers" Bill said and shifty just smiled at him and nodded.

He missed you more then anything but he always looked forward to the letters he got from you.
