It was a Sunday afternoon and it was a day off for Easy company. Most of the guys stayed on base and chilled out and you decided to do the same.
You were sat on Floyd's bed with him sitting next to you and chuck opposite you playing a game of cards.
"Cam letter for you" vest said as he walked over to you.
You looked up and took the letter. It was from your brother.. he doesn't normally send letters to me.
"You okay cam?" Floyd asked. Seeing the worry in her face as you looked at the letter.
You didn't answer him. You took the letter out and started to read it.

Dear Cam

I hope this finds you well. I know you wouldn't normally get a letter from me but unfortunately here I am writing to you.
I hate to write to you under these conditions but I'm writing to you to tell you that mother and father were in a car crash.. they didn't make it Cam.. I'm sorry this is how you have to find out while you are training but I couldn't just not tell you.
Don't worry about Lucy and James I'm taking care of them. They are in good hands.
When you can please write back sis. I miss you so much and even more now that our parents aren't here.
I love you Cam. And keep making me proud please?  Everything you are doing is amazing sis, it really is.
Anyway keep it up sis.

You let a tear roll down your face and looked up seeing the two boys looking at you with worry.
"Cammy you okay?" Chuck asked. you couldn't say anything. You felt sick. Your parents were gone.
"I'm going to be sick" you said as you jumped off the bed and ran outside and thrown up in the grass. You felt a hand grab your hair and lean down to your level.
"Cam you good?" It was lip.
Hearing his voice made you break down right there outside.
Chuck,Floyd, winters and Nixon had come over to see what was wrong.
"Is cam ok lip?" Nix asked
"I'm not sure sir. I saw her run out here and started being sick." Lip said as you cried looking down at the grass and then you thrown up again.
"Sir I found this" Floyd said and you knew it was the letter.
Clearly they were all reading it cause you heard them sigh.
"Come on Cammy lets get you cleaned up aye?" Lip said and you just nodded. He helped you stand up and put an arm around you to help you walk.
After lip helped you get cleaned up you broke down in his arms. He didn't mind though. He pulled you into a hug and rubbed your back.
"I'm sorry Cam about your parents" lip said and you just nodded.
After awhile lip picked you up and carried you over to your bed which was next to his and he lay you down. Your eyes were heavy and you ended up going to sleep. Lip pulled the blanket over you and kissed your forehead and then turned around to find Winters and Nixon in the door.
"She going to be okay lip?" Dick asked while handing the letter you had gotten back to lip.
"I hope so dick. It's not easy finding out you lost your parents. And she's got two younger siblings as well" lip said while looking back at you asleep.
"Well her older brother is looking after them right?" Nix asked and lip just nodded.
"Keep an eye on her lip. Hopefully she will be okay after having some rest" Dick said and they all left you to sleep and rest.
