You've been in the war for almost 2 years now and somehow you have stayed married to your husband back home. James and you were high school sweet hearts and got married just before you went off for training.
He used to send you letters all the time but now your lucky if you even get one from him.
Over time you had started getting feeling for the joker of the group George bloody Luz.
He knows about your Husband and how he doesn't write to you as much anymore and he knows it makes to sad and he hates seeing you sad.
You didn't know but George also had strong feeling for you but because you was married he never told you.
You share a foxhole with George in the freezing snow and you are always cuddled up to him.
"George do you think James actually still loves me? It's been 5 months since I heard anything from him.." you asked looking up at George as your head was laying on his chest.
He looked down and he didn't really know what to say.
"Well I Uh think he would be an idiot to not love you Queenie... your an amazing girl" girl said while looking down at you and then he blushed a little.
"Sargent shaw! Anyone seen Sargent Shaw?" You heard someone yelling.
You got up from George and stood up.
"Over here" you called and an officer walked over to you.
"This came for you Sargent." He said handing me a letter.
You took it and thanked him before looking at the letter. It was from James.. speak of the devil.
You smiled a little and sat next to George.
"It's James isn't it?" George asked and you nodded.
You opened the letter up and decided to read it.

My dear Queenie
I have some news for you.
But first I hope you are well and that this gets to you soon.
I'm not going to sugar coat anything Queenie but I can't do this anymore.. you've been gone almost two years now and it's getting to much for me. Don't get me wrong I'm so proud of you and everything you are doing.
I've filed some divorce papers and signed them on behalf of you because well I just can't wait till you get home or if you get home.
You see I've been seeing someone while you have been gone and we ended up having a child.. so I need to be there for my child. you will always be the love of my life Queenie but I can't wait anymore.
I hope you find someone who makes you happy and loves you with all their heart.
For now Queenie this is goodbye.

"Fucking proud my ass you vile piece of shit." You yelled and George took the letter from you and read it.
"Fucking prick. You don't deserve that Queenie" George said.
You got up from your foxhole and started walking. You was pissed. George watched to you walk away but didn't follow..You wasted everything for that goddamn boy and he just goes off with someone else.
You started taking off your wedding ring and then thrown it out into the snow.
"What the fuck" you heard someone say. You looked up and saw Lieutenant Speirs.
"You missing something Queenie?" He asked while holding your ring up.
You just groaned and rolled your eye.
"I don't want see the piece a shit ever again. Take it if you want sir"
You told him.
He knew what you were saying.. it wasn't hard to know that you now weren't married.
"What a dick" Speirs said and walked over to you.
"Sorry sir?" You asked
"Well he's a dick for leaving you Queenie. I mean look at you.. your gorgeous,smart, funny and have an awesome personality" Speirs said to you.
"But I also no that a certain George Luz has been in love with you for awhile now and you should forget about the ex husband and go for him" you looked up at Speirs and you knew he was right.
You smiled and jumped up to kiss his check "thank you sir.. your pretty awesome with words" you said and ran off to George who was still holding the letter.
Speirs chuckled and watched you go off towards George.
You jumped down into the foxhole and grabbed his face and kissed him. He was shocked at first but then he put a hand on your check and pulled you into his lap and kissed back.
While that all happened Ronald Speirs watched and smiled to himself and rolled the ring that was once yours around his fingers and laughed a little and then walked off.

You pulled away from George and you both laughed at each other. Your foreheads were touching and he just ran his hands through your hair and he couldn't stop looking at you.
"God your amazing Queenie" George said and you just laughed a little and then leaned into him and rested your head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around you while kissing your head.
That's when you knew that George Luz was all you needed in life.
