The training for the war. Now that was something that was going to test you every way possible, now you weren't just going to give up, hell no that's not you at all, you most definitely weren't going to show any weakness when training with these men. Any sign of weakness and they would make you feel so small you wouldn't exist. Now you aren't the tallest girl in the world, hell you were smaller then some of the guys here but you didn't let that get to you one little bit.
You had been apart of the 101st airborne for about 3 weeks now, you came in very tiny, but now you had muscle showing in your legs and arms, you were fitter then most of the guys in Easy.
You had made some very good friend amongst the men already, but there were a lot that still didn't like you being there or just didn't think you would make it, but here you were 3 weeks later.
You were very close with George and joe Liebgott, they were the first to actually warm up to you and when they saw how you just took everything that was thrown at you, they couldn't just not be your friend.
So here you were with both of the boys, you were laying down on the grass outside and George and Joe were playing arm wrestles with each other.
Boys you thought as you rolled your eyes at them being children.

"Ron you seen our new soldier yet?" Lewis asked as he took a puff from his cigarette. Ron finished his cigarette and flicked it to the ground.
"Nah I haven't, what's he like?" Ron asked while looking at Lewis. Ron saw the small smirk land on his face and raised his eyebrows a bit.
"Well my friend, our new soldiers isn't a guy, she is a girl" Ron scoffed and rolled his eyes, he thought Lewis was pulling his leg.
"Yeah okay, and the war will be finish my Christmas next year" Ron said with a laugh.
"Speirs I'm being serious, we have a girl in our company, she's actually amazing, I think you'd like here very much" Ron just looked at Lewis in shock.
"Your being serious right?" Ron asked. And Lewis nodded.
"Yeah dead serious mate, oh look there she is now" Ron looked to were Lewis was pointing and saw you chasing Joe and George around the grass for throwing water over you, he watched as you kicked Joe in the leg and he went to floor and then you jumped on George's back and put him in a chock hold from behind, Ron was stunned to say the least.
"Wow, what's her name?" Ron asked, he couldn't take his eyes off you.
"That Ron you will have to find out for yourself, I'm not telling" and with that Lewis walked off chuckling. Ron ended up sitting down and watched you interact with the two boys. He wanted to know so much about you, he wanted to learn literally every little detail about you.

You had jumped off George's back and pushed him to the ground.
"Now do that again and I won't be so fucking nice" you snapped at them, you couldn't contain the smile that formed onto your face.
The two boys chuckled at you and laid down on the grass.
"Hey uh lieutenant Speirs is watching you" George bugged you. Who? You thought.
You looked around but nobody was watching you, that was until your eyes landed on his.
Lieutenant Speirs, so that was his name, you had seen him walking around before but you never knew his name, well now you do.
"Is that lieutenant Speirs?" You whispered to George and he nodded back at you. You looked back at Speirs and you both made eye contact, he smiled at you and got up and left. You wanted to know this man, you wanted to make a new friend.

It had now been 4 months since the day you learnt the name of the lieutenant watching you. Ronald Speirs had court your eye many of times, unfortunately all you new was his a name and that he was in Dog company, it sucked balls.
Today you were doing the obstacle course with Dog company, you couldn't stop glancing over at the lieutenant, every once and a while you'd catch him looking at you, you blushed every single time.
It was stupid to blush just because he looked at you, I mean you didn't know anything about the man, he could be a down right asshole for all you knew, but he would be a very handsome asshole if he was.
"Looking again aye" you heard Joe behind you, he nudged you up the line as people were taking off on the course.
Today was the first time for everyone to do the course, everyone but you.
Little did everyone know, but you had been doing the course on your own since you started, something you did early every morning to gain strength. You smirked to yourself while thinking about it, these boys were going to be shocked when they saw you fly through it.

"So you still watching my Sargent aye Ron?" He turned to see Dick, Lewis not far behind him. He chuckled at Dick but didn't answer his question.
"Why don't you be a grown man and I don't know... talk to her" Lewis said and pushed his back a little, trying to push him forward.
"Guys come on! She's about to go through the course" Ron told them. The two friends looked at each other and smirked, knowing all Ron wanted to do was see how you were going to stand against the course, he knew it wasn't easy, hell even he struggled with it sometimes.
He watched as you started, you ran throw the wheels and jumped onto the ropes, instead on going for the first like everyone else, you jumped right to the second one while hurling yourself across. Ron's mouth dropped a little. He couldn't believe what he was seeing.
After the ropes you crawled through the wooden tunnels and did a roly-poly out of it while getting back up and sprinting for the next obstacle. Lewis chuckled behind Ron, he knew you had been training for this course, he had seen you in Secret every morning.
You got to the trenches with the blood and guts through them, you crawled through them with easy and carried on to the big wall. Ron was still watching you.
"How the fuck is she going to do that?" Ron asked to nobody inparticular.
He got his answer as you ran and flung yourself high up at the Rope , you then pulled yourself up and over running for the finish line, it's so happened to be where Lewis, Dick and Ron were stood watching you.

As you finished the course you chuckled to yourself, you looked up and saw your two officers stood next to lieutenant Speirs. He looked you up and down and you could feel your checks going red. You went to walk off to the rest of Easy when you heard Lewis speak up.
"Hey Sargent! Good work out there, really know how to show up a guy don't you" you chuckled as you turned back to him.
"Well lieutenant when your the only female in the company you kinda have to show them all who's boss" you walked off as you herd all three of them chuckle. You still needed to talk to this Ronald Speirs.

After the course everyone took showers, you waited outside for all the boys to finish so you could go in. While you stood there leaning against the pole you lit a cigarette.
"I didn't take you for a smoking girl" you turned to see lieutenant Speirs doing the same thing as you, he looked all clean and handsome. Wait what! You thought.
"Well what did you take me for?" You asked as you let out your puff of smoke. He chuckled and walked over closer to you.
"I'm not exactly sure, but I'm impressed to say the least" you smiled at him and looked up to see a couple of the boys leave the wash room.
"Impressed about what?" You asked him.
"Well for one your a female in a mans world, second you literally shown up every guy here today with that course, and third you don't seem to take shit from anyone from what I've seen" you took into consideration of what he said but then you raised and eyebrows at him and grinned.
"Lieutenant have you been watching me?" You asked and laughed when his face dropped. You court him red handed.
"Uh no i um" he started but you cut him off.
"I'm only pulling your leg lieutenant, if it makes you feel better I've been watching you as well" he still looked shocked at you, but then he had a smirk on his face.
"I'd like to get to know you Sargent, I mean if that's alright?" He asked and you smiled up at how cute he was being.
"Sure that sounds good, should we start off with each other's name? I'm not calling you lieutenant every bloody time" he chuckled and stuck his hand out. "Well I'm Ron, Ronald Speirs" you giggled at him and took his hand in yours, you could feel sparks happen between you both.
"Well Ron nice to finally meet you properly, I'm Olivia cooper but I just go by Liv" as your hands pulled away you missed the warmth of his.
"I'm looking forward to getting to know you Liv" Ron said as he started to walk away. You blushed like mad.
"Oh and Liv" you looked up at him.
"Yes?" You asked.
"You have a beautiful name. Beautiful name for a beautiful girl" and with that Ron walked off. You couldn't believe what just happened.
Being in the war might just get some good things coming from it.
