"ALI INCOMING!" You were on your way to talk to Dick when the shelling fired down like rain.
As you were running a shell went off to the side of you and you went flying into the air. You landed on your back on the ground.
"ALI GET UP! COME ON!" You could hear someone yelling at you over and over again. You got up slowly and started to make your way over to a foxhole. Any foxhole would do, as long as you were in one.
"ALI!" You looked to your side and saw your brother.. Ronald Speirs. Yes you were his little sister, he adored you and cared so much about you, when you heard all these rumours about your brother you just laughed. You knew they weren't true.
Your brother looked at you as you were running and jumping over lose tree parts. You carried on running, not wanting to look back at your Brother, he was so going to yell at you.

You jumped into a foxhole and landed next to someone, they wrapped you in there arms and covered you with there body to protect you. You had no idea who's hole you had jumped into.
You opened your eyes a little and you could see Joe.
"You ok?" He yelled over the shelling. You just nodded and covered your ears. You hated Bastogne.

Since you could remember you had the biggest crush on Joe Liebgott, he was always so caring and thoughtful towards you. That and he was very handsome.
Nobody in Easy knew you were a Speirs, you didn't want people to know either. Everyone would think you were like your brother, which wasn't so bad but you didn't want to get compared to him. It's happened to many times with family, so you decided to use a different name.
You didn't know how people would react to finding out you were Ali Speirs and not Ali Grove, they all knew you as Sargent Grove and not Sargent Speirs. You knew they were going to find out on day though.

After the shelling's had stopped you just sat in Joes arms. He didn't look like he minded all to much though.
"You okay Ali?" Joe asked you as he kissed your head. You blushed as you pulled away to look at him.
"Yeah I'm okay Joe, thanks" he nodded.
"I better get going to see Winters" you sighed as you put your hand on his knee and got up.
"Oh yeah right, well be safe alright" you looked down at him and smiled.
"Anything for you joe" he smirked and kicked your boot with his foot. You laughed as you left his foxhole.

Since you joined Easy, you and joe became very very close, I mean over two years of training and war it's self, you kinda had to get close with someone. And for you it was Joe.
He was your rock, apart from your brother that is, Ron always knew what was up with you before you knew yourself, it was a little crazy really.

"Ali Speirs what fuck were you thinking... running around the god damn forest like an idiot" you rolled your eyes. You didn't even look up at your brother as you walking into CP.
"I'm talking to you!" He said a little louder.
"Ron I'm fine, I was actually running to find a foxhole" you rolled your eyes as you looked up at him. He had his arms crossed over his chest and looked straight at you, he could never keep a straight face with you.
You Saw a small smile form on his lips and he walks over to you.
You don't see your brother as often anymore, with him being in Dog Company and all.
You love spending time with your brother, but not as much as spending time with Joe. You blushed thinking about Joe.
"Oh look your blushing, thinking of joe are we?" Ron chuckled while looking at you, you pulled the finger at him and shock your head.

You sat with Ron and Dick for a little longer, talking and laughing, you didn't realise that Joe had been watching from a far. He had seen how Ron pulled you into his side to try keeping you warm, he saw how your arms went around his waist to hug him, he saw you laughing at what he was saying.
Joe thought you were in love with Ron, he thought he didn't have a chance with you at all. He was a little confused as to why you never told him that you were close with Ronald Speirs, he had never seen you around him before, sure you had seen him and said hello while passing, but never actually stood hugging him or laughing at his jokes. Joe got really jealous seeing you with Ronald.

"Say Bill I didn't know Ali was close with Speirs" joe turned to talk to Bill, Bill looked up and saw you and Speirs standing in the CP tent. He shrugged his shoulders.
"Maybe they have a thing going on in private Joe" Bill said as he wrapped his coat around him.
Joe just hummed and turned back to look at you.
"But joe I wouldn't worry about it, I know she likes you, hey her and Speirs might just be friends" Bill stated.
Joe just nodded. He didn't know how to feel. If you wanted to be with Speirs he couldn't do anything about it.

(Time skip)

It had just been the attack on Foy.
You watched your brother Run straight through the town while getting shot at. You were fucking pissed. If it was you he would of been all up in your grill about how stupid you were. Now he's the stupid one. You were going to give him hell for it.

You and joe hadn't talked much after the shelling's that night. You didn't know why, but he felt a little off for some reason. It's almost like he was trying to avoid talking to you, or even being near you at all.
You pushed joe to the back of your head as you saw Your brother walking up to you.
You ran up to him and hugged him, He hugged you back with so much force.
You pulled away and then slapped his head.
"Oi what the fuck was that for!" He yelled as he rubbed his head with his hand.
"That Ronald Speirs is for almost giving me a heart attack.. what am I meant to do if you get killed huh? Don't bloody do that again!" You snapped and he sighed at you, he looked down at his feet and then looked back up at you.
"I'm sorry, I won't do it again I promise" you didn't say anything but hug him.
You hadn't realised but joe had been stood behind you and he heard the whole thing.
"You know Ali if I knew you liked Speirs I wouldn't of gotten so close to you. You made me fall head of heals for you and I have to stand here and watch this!" You turned and saw Joe. Ron still had you in his arms and you looked shocked. He thought you loved Ron. Ew your brother.
"Joe wait-" he cut you off.
"I don't want to hear it Ali" and with that Joe walked off, he couldn't look at you.
You sighed. You had tears forming in your eyes.
"Ali I think it's time you told him the truth don't you think?" You looked up at your brother.
"What you want me tell him I'm your sister? Like he's going to believe it anyway" you ran your hands down your face and sighed heavily.
"Well I think everyone deserves to know your my baby sister, they all think your my girlfriend.. and that just doesn't sit right with me." You chuckled as you looked back to where joe was walking. You didn't say anything to Ron but run off towards joe.
"Joe wait please" you yelled out but he didn't stop or turn to look at you.
"Joe please!" You yelled again. He stopped and turned to look at you. Everyone was watching now.
"What Ali!" He snapped and you sighed.
"I'm not in love with Ron, never have been Joe" you said and he scoffed.
"Oh yeah cause you go hugging a guy like that all the dam ti-"
"Joe he's my fucking Brother!" You yelled out. Everyone was quite, Joe was shocked. He didn't know what to say.
"I'm a Speirs Joe. I'm Ali Speirs, baby sister to that douche bag over there" you pointed to Ron who just laughed. Joe looked at Ron and then back at you.
"What? How? Why didn't we know before?" He asked.
"Because my brother didn't want people looking at me any different. With all the rumours about him and shit, he just wanted me to be free of being called crazy" you looked down at your hands. Everyone just kept looking from you to Ron. They couldn't believe you were his little sister.
"So you definitely aren't in love with him?" Joe asked. You scoffed
"Hell no Joe, your the one I'm in love with, have been since day one" you looked joe right in the eyes as he did the same to you.
"Just kiss her joe for fucks sack!" You both turned to see your brother. You chuckled and joe laughed.
Joe pulled you into him by your waist and moved some of your hair out of your face, you wrapped your arms around his neck and you both leant in. Joes lips smashed into yours, it was everything you had hoped for, you both moved in sync as you heard cheering in the background. You pulled away and giggled up at joe, your foreheads still touching.
"God I've been in love with you for so long Ali, if I had known you were a Speirs and Ron was your brother then I would of done this a long time ago" you chuckled at him and kissed him again.
"Well better late then never huh" you asked and he laughed. You were wrapped his arms, close to his chest. Your brother stood to the side smiling. Everyone thought he was this big mean asshole who would kill anyone in his path, but they saw that he really just loved his little sister, he didn't care that you and joe kissed, he was happy for you and that's all he ever wanted for you.

"Don't hurt my sister joe or so help me god I'll have to kill you" you laughed at your brother and joe looked at you and then back up at Ron.
"I don't plan on hurting her sir, I've waited to long to be with her to hurt her" everyone was in Aw at what joe had just said. You leant into his chest and sighed. Not a sad sigh but a happy sigh. You were now with the guy you were in love with, he loved you and you loved him. That's all you could ask for.
