Swimming in the lake

You had been waiting for Gene to get off his shift at the medic hut so you could go for a walk together.
You and Gene have been dating for a year now, and it has been the best year so far.
You both were medics for Easy company, you both got very close and one thing lead to another, and here you are sat on a wooden crate waiting for you lover.
"Hey prim you okay?" You looked over to see shifty. You smiled up at him and nodded. "Hey shifty, yeah I'm just waiting for Gene to finish his shift is all" shifty nodded and carried on walking to catch up with someone else. You chuckled to yourself while watching the shy guy run off.

"Hey darling" you looked over and saw Gene walking up to you with some flowers. He got to you and kissed your head.
"Hey Gene" you giggled up at him. He always knew how to make you smile and laugh.
"These are for you, for being late" he said as he handed you the flowers. Primroses.
You took them from him and chuckled.
"Thanks Babe" you leant up and kissed his check.
"So what is the plan for the afternoon?" He asked you as he put his hand in yours and pulled you up off  the wooden crack. You jumped off and walked hand in hand with Gene.
"Well I was thinking we should go for a swim in the lake down there" you said while pointing down the hill to the lake. You had been wanting to go swimming in it since getting to Austria.
"If that's what you want then that's what we will do" you giggled at him and pulled him faster down to the lake. You heard him chuckle at you.
"Slow down babe, the water isn't going anywhere" you heard Gene yell out to you. You just laughed and carried on down to the water.

You got down to the water and saw Lewis and Dick just getting out. Except Lewis was in his uniform. You laughed and looked back to see Gene just making his way to you. You had run off like a child.
You looked back at your two officers and heard Gene chuckle at them.
"Aye don't you say a word about this!" Lewis yelled out to you. You shock your head as you walked to the end of the dock where they were both stood.
"I promise on my life I won't say a word" you said and mock saluted them both. They chuckled at you.
You and Gene started taking your boots off and you took your jacket off.
"You both going in?" Dick asked and you nodded your head.
You were down to your shorts and sports Bra when you pushed Lewis back into the water. Dick laughed and all of a sudden you felt someone pick you up. You looked to see Gene and you knew what was coming. He had a smirk on his face.
"Gene no don't!" You said but he shock his head.
"Do it Gene! Pay back" Lewis yelled and you pulled the finger at him and you heard him chuckle.
"Sorry babe but Lewis is right" before you could say anything you felt the water all around you. Gene had thrown you in. You came back up and you heard laughing from all three.
You laughed as well.

After a little while it was just you and Gene swimming around in the lake. It was nice to just relax and be around each other.
"Are you excited to go home eventually darling" you turned around in the water and swam over to Gene.
"I'm excited yeah, but I want to go home with you" you looked up at Gene and saw a massive smile on his face.
"Really! You want to come home with me?" You nodded as you same a little closer to him. You stood up and put your arms around his neck, his hands went to you waist.
"Of course I do Gene, I don't want to be anywhere without you" he blushed and kissed your forehead.
"I love you prim" Gene whispered into your ear.
"I love you too genie" you felt him smile against your skin.
It was the nicest moment, you were always going to remember it.
