Chuck Grant

You and chuck have been best friends since high school and just before the war broke out you both got married.
You and chuck both wanted to join and help in the war so here you both were sat in Bastogne in different companies. You were in Dog with Ronald Speirs and you two were good friends being both lieutenants and chuck was a Sargent in Easy.
It was the day easy was attacking on foy and you had to stand back and watch your husband run out into maybe his death and that didn't sit right with you.

"SPEIRS, GRANT GET OUT HERE !" Major Winter yelled.
You both ran over to him.
"Both of you get out there and take over from Dike and finish this bloody attack.
Grant you know what to do" Dick said looking from Ron to you and you both nodded.
You both started running out in the open.
"Going to go save your husband after all huh?" Ron said while laughing.
"Yeah looks like it Ron" you told him as you pulled your rifle up and pulled the trigger.
You ran into a big hay bail next to dike.
You went over to your husband.
"Hey darling" you said and he turned at the sound of your voice.
"What the fuck are you doing here!" He asked you and then looked out in front again.
"Saving your fucking ass what does it look like" you told him as you got up and went back to Ron.
"Right let's finish this shit shell we" Ron said and you nodded.

The fight ended and you were sat next to chuck holding his hand and laying your head on his shoulder.
He had a big smile on his face.
"Lieutenant Grant" Ron called for you.
I looked at Chuck and he nodded at me to go.
You went to get up but Ron had made his way over to you.
"Would you like some good news you two? He asked
"Sure Ron what is the news?" You asked and put your head back on chucks shoulders
"Me and you have been transferred I Easy company. I'm the new CO and I asked for you to come as well"
"What! Really!" You screamed
"Yes really" Ron said and he went to walk off but turned back around.
"Oh and you won't be a Lieutenant much longer" he said and you looked from Ron to Chuck.
Chuck had a smile on his face cause he knew what that meant.
"What?" You asked
"Your getting promoted babe" chuck said and you laughed a little then looked back at Ron
"Congratulations Captain" Ron said and gave you a little mock salute and walked off.
"What the fuck just happen chuck" you asked but he just pulled you into a hug.
"I'm so proud of you babe you know that. So goddamn proud" chuck said into your ear.
"Says you. I'm proud of you as well chuck" you told him and you both pulled out of the hug and you kissed him and heard some cheers coming from all over the place. You pulled back and laughed a little as did chuck.
You couldn't wait to be with chuck for the rest of the war.
