"Hello?" Sagot ko sa tawag. It's Kuya Flint.

"Yani, you mentioned last time that you don't like the consulting company, right?" He didn't wait for me to answer and continued. "Well, I had it checked out at wala ka naman dapat i-worry. You might be skeptical about it since it's just a start-up company but give it a chance. The founder is pretty competent."

It's one early Monday morning at tinawagan niya na ako para sa business!

My eyes were still closed, and it flew wide open when I heard the next thing he said.

"I also scheduled the next meeting already. It's later at 2PM, I'll send you the details. Mr. Monteverde has also confirmed the meeting."

I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out. Bakit ang bilis niya magtrabaho? Akala ko ba busy siya sa HHRC bakit may time pa siyang ipacheck ang company ni Vini?

I shuffled my hair in frustration, paano ko na sila icoconvince na magpalit ng ibang company nito?

I rolled over my bed for so long and even cursed the ceiling so many times before getting up.

Labag man sa loob ko, I still prepared myself and made sure I look presentable. I chose an off shoulder black top paired with a ripped jeans. I wore a nude heels and got my Prada handbag, ready to go.

Susunod nalang muna ako sa kanila ngayon, maybe an idea will pop up along the way and I'll finally get rid of Vini in my life.

The meeting this time will be held at the office of ExAd Consulting Firm. It is located at the 18th floor of a corporate tower.

I went out the elevator when it reached the right floor. Sa left side ay may isang IT solutions company at sa right side naman ang ExAd. I pushed the double doors open at sinalubong ako kaagad ng receptionist.

"Good afternoon, Miss. How may I help you?" She asked me, smiling wide.

"I have a scheduled meeting with Mr. Monteverde." I answered.

Their office isn't super big, may iilang cubicles, a bathroom, a pantry room, a conference room and 2 other rooms, probably offices of their bosses.

The conference room has glass doors so I can see through it. Naroon na sina Ate Mish at Kuya Flint sa loob, chatting with Vini. They are all smiling, like they are all enjoying their conversation.

I looked at my watch, hindi ako late! Maaga lang sila.

"Yes, Miss. You may now proceed to the conference room. Mr. Monteverde is already there." She said after confirming her boss' schedule and gestured me to follow her.

They all turned to look at me when I went inside the room. Tipid akong ngumiti.

"Good afternoon." I greeted them.

"Hi, Yani." Kaway ni Kuya Flint.

"Here, Yani." Ate Mish pulled the chair beside her telling me to sit there.

"You may continue your conversation, don't mind me." I politely said. "We're still waiting for Ate Ellie and Kuya John right?"

"Yeah, about that hindi pala sila makakapunta so we'll just update them." Sagot ni Ate Mish.

"For today's meeting, we'll mainly discuss about your plans and ideas for the café, Miss Lee." Vini confidently said. "So that our team will be able to estimate the costs and start drafting the contract."

So we'll really play the we don't know each other card huh? Well, I started it.

"About that, I have a draft of a business plan." I stopped, thinking about how my dad rejected it. "I'll give a copy to you, it has everything that I wanted for my café."
